Recently needed to be seen in the ER in the very early morning hours on 3/5. I was quickly registered, triaged, and assessed. All the staff were kind and considerate from the first face I saw in registration to the attentive nurses and ER techs to the lovely housekeeper who brought me an extra pillow. I have to say I was grateful and impressed to have Dr. Catherine Petit at my doctor. Her bedside manner at 3AM was remarkable. She actively listened and quickly came up with a plan of care. Her exact words “now what questions do you have for me?” felt genuine and sincere. Please extend my deepest thanks to the department.

I’m beyond disappointment and frustration with the treatment I received at Saint Anne’s Hospital. During my visit, I was not only dismissed by the medical staff but also made to feel as though my concerns were unimportant. I sought care because I was genuinely unwell, yet instead of receiving the attention and respect every patient deserves, I was met with indifference and a lack of proper medical evaluation.
The dismissive attitude of the staff not only prolonged my suffering but also left me feeling unheard and disregarded. A hospital should be a place of care, compassion, and professionalism—none of which I experienced during my visit. No patient should ever have to fight to be taken seriously when seeking medical help.
I am bringing this to your attention because I believe in accountability and improvement. No one else should have to endure the kind of treatment I experienced. I hope this matter is taken seriously and that changes are made to ensure future patients are met with the dignity, attention, and medical care they deserve.

I am presently recovering from knee replacement surgery at St. Anne’s hospital and I am so pleased with the level of care, compassion, and competency of the entire staff. This is my second knee replacement surgery here and it mirrors my first experience. Shout out to my surgeon,
Dr. Colm McCarthy, my anesthesiologist, Dr. Medeiros, and every person who kindly cared for me. It’s such a blessing to have this wonderful facility here in Fall River !

Worst care from nurses and doctor! I was brought in for losing consciousness at a birthday party. I was ridiculed by staff and treated me like a bum! I had bariatric surgery a year ago, and had a dumping syndrome episode that caused me to have a hypoglycemic episode! Rather than ask questions I was accused of being intoxicated, made to feel embarrassed and ashamed! No blood work was taken, no fluids were given, they only did a ct scan which showed nothing and sent me on my way! In fact my husband overheard two nurse talking and one said, “keep your voice down to the other nurse, she responded because she is intoxicated I have to use my inside voice!” Another nurse overheard me speaking to my mom because I had no idea what happened, where I was, or what was going on! While I was speaking to my mom on my Apple Watch the nurse proceeded to come over and “told me to stop crying because it was night time and patients were sleeping!” My mother heard the nurse and could not believe how I was spoken too! I went to the hospital because this is where my surgeon is based out of and I knew this was a bariatric episode, and nothing was done, nobody cared, and I have never seen such a lack of empathy or care toward a human being like I did two nights ago!!!! Worst hospital experience ever! 😡😭

Arrived at 9:45, waited for about 15 minutes for triage. Explained I was having difficulty breathing. I was taken to get bloodwork, and an EKG. NO ONE put in for X-rays. 2.5 hours later, I get called from the waiting room, to the hallway for vitals. All the while, I’m still having trouble breathing. I get told there’s 15 people ahead of me, and that everyone is a priority. No relief, no help, nothing. Waiting 2.5 hours in the waiting room was enough, but to be moved to the hallway to still have to wait is absurd. I feel like my concerns weren’t taken into consideration, and there was no sense of urgency.

A friend was severely dehydrated. They started a IV. It wasn't flowing. Ex-ray department came unplugged it. When returned from ex- ray patient asked to plug it back. Still it was not flowing. Staff requested a nurse to fix it. Then about less then Ten minutes a male staff came with discharge papers to sign. He took out the IV & the bag filled with fluids threw it in the trash.
The point is this person has been vomiting couple days can't keep nothing down. They feel weak not feeling well. The staff worker looked annoyed took the IV rushed my friend out.
Very unprofessional this is not how you treat a sick person. IV bags I know it's counted it costs money for the organization. I hope you can see this because my friend filed a complaint. Cameras don't lie. No compassion at all.

The night staff was good, but they didn't listen to me when I told them where to place my IV, so I was pricked several times. Eventually, a male African American nurse came and was exceptionally helpful. I don't understand why the other workers tried to belittle him. Black people are highly intelligent but often underestimated, which is a disheartening stereotype.

The next morning, the staff for X-rays, medical assistance, and ultrasounds were wonderful. However, the nurse and doctor I saw were not helpful or knowledgeable. They couldn't properly diagnose me, and the doctor kept saying he didn't know, ultimately referring me to an outside physician. I was also surprised that the hospital did not have an OB-GYN available. The only credit I give them is that they was helpful for pain management

Overall, it was a very negative experience. I was rushed to provide a urine sample that was not even used. To make matters worse, I found a needle on the floor next to my bed, which was concerning for my safety.

This place ruined my life. I was humiliated, scared, and made fun of me by staff. There was no trauma informed care, and nobody checked in to ask me about how I was doing. I was left with ptsd, depression, anxiety, and alcohol and nicotine addiction because of this place, and was charged thousands of dollars for essentially being traumatized. Avoid this hospital at all costs, Charleston memorial or Butler hospital are way better options for literally anything.
