I brought my client to Dr. Kugel and I found him friendly and very straight forward in his communication, very direct and was very attentive and listened. These other reviews were probably written by snowflakes that all got participation trophies and wore helmets when they sit on the coach so they won’t get hurt. That is the problem with society now if someone doesn’t say something you like all of a sudden they are a jerk and don’t listen to you. Grow up people.

Dr. Kugel doesn’t push a bunch of prescriptions and this is admirable. The office front desk always called me to follow up on my symptoms and refills. It’s an old concept of US healthcare, this system no longer work for mental healthcare. Don’t blame this professional for an overall failed system.

This office I called yesterday. I told her my medical records I wanted, and she told me to come tomorrow. I wentt ther, and she refused to pick up.I asked her why she said this is ours policy then she's telling me to leave the office. Will I need my medical records she's very, very rude, or I call security, but I need my medical records by law she can't refuse. I hope she knows that this is my medical record. I pay fees I can sing form releas, my medical records but still, her rude she refused she said that is our policy we don't give people medical records!!!!!!!

I was initially alarmed by the many negative reviews. You have to understand there is the possibility that you will wait past your scheduled appointment time. The doctor services hospitals in addition to his office, so sometimes an unexpected psych issue there may delay him getting to the office. I was worried he was going to be a pill pusher type of doctor, one who only wants to prescribe meds and then kick you out so he can move on to the next patient. When I received my consult from the VA, I was in a different place and found myself wondering why I currently needed to see a psychiatrist. He agreed that it didn’t seem like I needed to be with him, and even stated he didn’t want to prescribe something when it wasn’t justified or needed. Top marks in my book for ethics!

Do not go here if you are looking for a Psychiatrist. My Insurance company recommended this office. I was able to call and make an appointment for a Psychiatrist. When I checked in I said I was here to see the Psychiatrist. Filled out paperwork based on my mental health and ended waiting 45 minutes for the doctor to tell me he was not practicing psychiatry. Even though directories in the building say psychiatrist. Also his business card says it too.

This is the most ignorant, lack of education, condescending, demeaning, and don’t even call to cancel appointments staff I ever witnessed and I am a RN!!!!!! The staff I would rate a zero!!!!!!!!! If you appreciate being treated like garbage with very unskilled and rude staff this place is for you!!! Shame on Dr. Kugel (I would rate a zero but didn’t have box for it) for his deplorable staff and not canceling his appointments he is allegedly out through November but nobody is going to cancel your appointment and your waiting months for nothing!!!!!! Will report his license and his staff as well!!!! Stay away poor excuse for a Doctor and staff!!!!!

He seems depressed, over-worked, and angry. I actually feel sad for him. He doesn't care about you. He sees you for 5 minutes. He interrupts constantly. If you report 1 troublesome symptom of a medication he won't trouble-shoot, or offer a solution or alternative. He just says he'll see you in 2 weeks if you want to come back. He refers you back to your primary care physician when he's the psychiatrist. Worst experience ever.

I've seen 5 psychiatrists before him. Before seeing Kugel, I thought they were terrible. Now I think they were SO MUCH BETTER compared to him!

Save your time & money. Go somewhere else for treatment. You're worth it.
