My family and I wanted to express our most sincere gratitude for the medical team on the second floor who took care of my 86 year-old dad while he was hospitalized. Dr. Tran, nurse Thi, and speech therapist Na Young were empathetic, competent, and professional. Thank you! Your caring presence was much appreciated.

I want to thank the staff that took care of me, the MRI tech Mariana that kept reassuring me that I would be okay and overall everyone in this hospital. From the moment I arrived I felt so safe and seen. I had counselors come speak to me and when I was admitted I had someone ensure me that I was going to be okay. I was told they had done research on my case and that I was in good hands. Luckily my neurologist was assigned to this hospital so with his help the staff was able to take care of me correctly. To Lovely, Carmen, Maria, Shima (hope I spelled that right) and the rest of the nurses that cared for me, thank you so much for all your help and for your kindness. By far this has been the best hospital experience I have ever had. I pray you are all blessed. Thank you once again.

My mother received excellent care during her hospitalization at San Gabriel Valley Medical Center. The nurses on the fourth floor were very nice, and the doctors were professional and patient. I am very grateful to them.

No DOCTORS? The Charge Nurse HANGS UP? No Contact With Family? Nobody in charge of the ENTIRE hospital on WEEKENDS?! My 82 year-old Mother; psych patient in crisis - which was witnessed by her PMD - RUSHED to UCLA to be therapeutically controlled - UCLA due to no beds transferred my mother to this facility quoting it to be #1 in dealing with geriatric psych patients. It's been A WEEK and the family has NOT been contacted! No H&P, no medication reconciliation, no plan of care - NO communication with the family at all! As the full-time caregiver/daughter AND a Board-Certified physician myself to date I haven't heard from anyone! I've called NUMEROUS times - was told the doctor would call me. I was told by MaryLou today my name is not even listed as EMERGENCY CONTACT! I was also told by Brandon Sullivan, RN that Dr. KhanKhanian was going to call me...A FEW HOURS LATER.....nothing!!!! I'm OUTRAGED! We are trying to keep my mother in the home. She is very controllable when medicated - the only way I KNEW she wasn't being medicated is when she called me today with PRESSURED SPEECH along with the same fears & phobias she had at the time of admission - but WORSE!!!! My poor mother!!!! She was sent to the hospital to be treated and cared for...not ignored! I bet the days she has been there are being billed to Medicare! How is it fair the hospital is being paid but my mother has received ABSOLUTELY NO MEDICAL ATTENTION!!!!

Disappointing Experience with Nurse Ferdie

Rating: 1/5 stars

I recently had the misfortune of experiencing subpar care at this hospital, specifically with Nurse Ferdie. Despite my father's urgent needs, Ferdie displayed a lack of empathy, patience, and professionalism.

During a particularly distressing moment when my father was choking, Ferdie dismissed my concerns and repeatedly interrupted me. His behavior was not only unhelpful but also alarming.

Furthermore, when I was assisting my father with a delicate and intimate task, Ferdie abruptly asked to speak with me, leaving the door open and showing no regard for our privacy or dignity.

The lack of urgency and willingness to help from the hospital staff was also concerning. I waited over 30 minutes for assistance with submitting a complaint, only to be met with indifference.

As a family member advocating for a loved one, it's disheartening to encounter such neglect and unprofessionalism. I hope the hospital takes steps to address these issues and provide better training for their staff.

Until then, I would caution others to carefully consider their options before choosing this hospital.

I love the medical staff here but other than that it is truly not worthy of any stars. The infrastructure is in terrible shape. My television does not function correctly, the soap dispenser is broken and the main elevator is not functioning.
The food is barely edible. My request for vegetarian diet has led to fish being served. Today my menu said "steamed fish" but is is obviously baked. The meal was served with spaghetti, yet only a spoon was provided so it is not possible to eat it. Apple and grape juices taste like vinegar.

Gave birth here in 2021.It was a horrible experience , I've given birth at 2 other hospitals queen of the valley and Glendale Adventist and this one is by far the worst. They don't honor your wishes during labor . They took my son away many times. Other hospital he never left my side. He was bathed talrn care of in front of me here they take the baby . The nurse didn't even allow me to take all the remaining diapers and wipes . Weird AF. I would never recommend this place. Recovery rooms are tiny too. Only thing good was the celebration meal at the end of stay.
