They got my father ready to go, and out the door (for a driver) on more than one occasion. I appreciate that given the travel was important. Also, they went out of their way to help him from the car, and to give him a nice shave, prepping him for a visitor. Thank you Rochelle, Receptionists, Jeffrey, and Mr. Martinez.

A horrible place. I find it hard to believe this place was voted one of the best short term nursing rehabilitation homes. If it was it has badly eroded since it.

Mistake after mistakes and appears management that doesn't care. Was told Sorry, Mistakes will be corrected after a care meeting only for them to get worse the next morning. There is people here that care but their hands are tied by management.

Nursing Homes get a bad reputation for poor treatment and abuse and this is clearly no better or different. Just sad.

I recently stayed and released from SCPA and wished to express my gratitude for the care I received from the entire staff. From the top down, and that many of them went out of their way to make sure I was made comfortable and treated with respect. It was a bit overwhelming at first, trying to remember everyone's name and their position due to the number of people admitted and the number of employees it takes to oversee such a complex, as well as the three shifts per day rotations.
Nothing in life is perfect, and I admit I had a few issues with a few that acted independently of the mission of SCPA and why I gave them (4) four stars, in which is a honest and fair rating. If I hadn't experienced those issues from the few independent individuals who were being difficult by acting out from what is normally required from them, otherwise I would have given this facility a (5) five-star rating. That said, I miss the many who are truly wonderful people with big hearts and are amazing professionals who work at SCPA. I wish to personally say thank you.
Wishing you All the Best !!

I’m so glad that I was able to bring my mom Karen to Santa Cruz Post Acute just over a year ago for her long term care. Everyone there has be so pleasant and helpful and I truly feel she is in good hands. I would especially like to thank Rochelle and the team helping to make the transition smooth for my mom Karen. I appreciate you more than you know. I would also like to acknowledge and thank Tina who works up front. What can I say about this wonderful woman other than she has been so very helpful since we met her. She is so kind, always smiling, and always willing to answer any and all questions or concerns. She makes time for not only for my mom but all the people there. I feel blessed and comfortable knowing she is there. Thank you all again for what you do, it’s well appreciated. Matt Bento.

SC Post Acute (formerly Kindred) has the most caring and kind staff who give their best to take excellent care of their patients. The staff is cheerful and encouraging. The administration process was fairly easy and efficient. Their administrator, Rowena is kind, competent and simply the best!

What is needed though, is a renovation. The building is dated and needs updating with some thoughtful touches to make it feel more like home. Even new flooring, painting and furniture would be transformational. Since they already have great nurses and staff, the renovation would be the cherry on top. Thanks to the staff at SC Post Acute for taking great care of my mom!

This place is amazing! My mom was here for 2 weeks. The staff is loving and very tentative to all the people staying. The facility is clean and pleasant. My mom loved the food and they always make accommodations for special food requests. My mom was transferred from Dominican hospital and even the paramedic staff said that Santa Cruz Post Acute was like a resort. They always have fun activities in the living room going on. I think the activities are really good for the patients. The physical therapist are great and they really do a wonderful job helping patients get moving in the best safest way. I would recommend Santa Cruz Post Acute to anyone who needs care for their family member or themself.

My Mother lives here in the long term care, she has been there since July, 2015. I am so thankful for the staff and the individual care they give to each of their Patients/Guests. I also get a ton of support as a daughter, and I feel like I have a say in her care plan. I especially want to thank Michelle, in Social Services, for her dedication to her patients and their families. It's heartbreaking when a loved one can no longer care for themselves, and I know that she is in the perfect place for her needs.

I called to visit a friend, we wanted to take him out for a walk and they said he could not leave and then return as a patient. So how come the employees go home every day and return? And then I asked another question and the receptionist or whoever I was talking to asked “why are you asking me so many questions”? Do you know why because it seems to me they are harboring their patients. If the employees can go home and come back why can’t the patients do the same?
