Their billing department is completely unfair and unreasonable. They conduct “reviews” and once that’s done they tell you it’s been denied and you’re still responsible for the balance with no way to appeal. They give you no insight as to how the review is completed so it’s your word against the provider (the provider is always going to win). They order tests that aren’t covered by insurance even when you explicitly say you only want what is covered under a general wellness visit by insurance. If you have another in-network option other than Scripps I IMPLORE you to go elsewhere

Dr.Benjamin schleifer is such an amazing pediatrician. If you want someone that will be very thorough and genuinely cares about your child’s well being I highly suggest him! He is so amazing so easy to talk to and so patient so good with kids and over all great doctor!

Went to see the nurse practitioner 3.5 weeks ago for extreme lower back pain. I could barely walk. I asked her to send in an order for an MRI of my spine and she refused and told me to just ice my back and that it’d get better. She said that if it didn’t get better in 2 weeks then she’d send in a referral for the MRI. It has now been 3.5 weeks, I am STILL in tremendous pain, and she STILL refuses to send in a referral until I go see a different dr at scripps who works in pain management/rehabilitation. Why in the world would I go to a rehabilitation specialist when they won’t be able to figure out what’s wrong without an MRI? Scripps is just trying to get me to spend hundreds more on appointments that will do nothing to help me or my pain. You guys need to be better. Medical professionals are supposed to actually WANT to help people. I’m finding a different doctor.

Pediatrics department is awful!!! Dr rupp and Dr. Schleifer will completely waste your time!! Do yourself and kids a favor and find another pediatrician. This place has gone downhill since silverberg stepped back.

My experience with Angel Ochoa – My former PCP in Escondido Scripps.

I have had a total of 6 medical appointments with Dr. Ochoa. During my first appointment he was very professional, nice, helpful and made me feel welcomed. I will always remember how he made me feel welcomed. I was not familiar with Scripps, so he explained every little detail about the company. For example, the fact that there is an online website to obtain results.
He is a hardworking MD. He takes his time and does not rush the appointments compared to other Scripps providers I have seen. He is a MD who instead of following the saying “work smarter not harder” he just works HARDER! I’m a young adult so I do not have major health issues however every major concern I had Ochoa listened to them and assisted me with my issue.

He moved to 4318 Mission Ave Oceanside, CA 92057 and I’m saddened because he was my PCP in another city,

I’m thankful for whoever decided to hire Angel Ochoa. 😇

In conclusion, he is a good pcp but he is not perfect. Please choose pcp who will meet your medical standards. If seen other PCP's who are also great .

Dr Silverberg is the best pediatrician we’ve ever had. She loves children, always offers support to moms, and gives wonderful medical advice. We highly recommend her!

Picked this location because it was close to home and the high ratings, was not feeling well and wanted to establish a connection with my new primary care physician. The earliest appointment I could schedule was Oct 10. 5 months to wait to see a doctor is that normal? I can't wait that long I have changed back to my original PCP its a drive but not a 5 month wait.

Dr Farida Valgi is the best!!! So happy I chose her. She takes her time to listen and communicate with a patient and never makes me feel rushed. Appointments are quick and easy to schedule. The nurses reply back to my messages quickly. I was also able to walk in and out of the lab and received my results fast.
