I want to give a huge shoutout to the whole team, especially my PA Jordan, that saw me during my visit. She was thorough, professional, and confident and provided clear steps for my treatment. I checked in on the Scripps website before I got there, so I was in and out of my visit in 30 minutes. Highly recommend!

Just horrible rude rude rude nurses here… We made an appointment because I may have a tick bite and she told me an hour wait. Because it’s just a reservation but there was no courtesy or seating… Nada. Why make an appointment then? There was no one in there and the nurse said it’s because of video calls so I guess they get priority? The guy in the front who checks for COVID-19 was the only nice one he was very friendly and petting my dog but that’s about it. I told my mom not to make an appointment here like ever… Years ago I was turned away and then few days after ended up in the ER diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis . Avoid this place like the plague their bad bedside manner both doctors and nurses cloud their ability to investigate what’s wrong or how to treat you with humanely kindness. Sorry but it’s 100% true about this place! Another waste of time. Mom went in mad and canceled it so she knows better now.

I arrived at 4.59 on Monday after being told by Dr. Tibrizi staff (Solana Beach) to drive from Encinitas to the 78 back to Salk Dr. I had spent 2 hours driving up and down El Camino real as I was given false addresses and closed locations. When I arrived at this location the doctor refused to see me because they close at 5 pm. She was aware I had been given the runaround and I was in a level 10 pain from an earache. Think about that for a minute. An acute care doctor who refuses to treat a patient that is in obvious level 10 ear ache pain because the office closes at 5:00.. Who knew….the oath to your practice and credentials expire when the clock strikes 5:00 p.m.

As a result I had to drive another 30 minutes north to the Oceanside clinic, getting my drops at 730 and arriving home past 8 pm.

I would go to my dogs vet before I return to this location. Ps…. I see patient relations generally responds to the posts to tell the patient to reach out and tell their story again in an email. No need I already called and left a message with patient relations and have not received a response..

I usually love Scripps, but this was a terrible experience. My adult daughter and I showed up at 7:28 PM tonight. My daughter told the receptionist and a second person (doctor?) that she has been sick for a week. She said her symtoms are a cough, sore throat, fatigue and headache. They said that because of the headache, they could not help her. That she would need more care than they could provide and to go to the new clinic by the 78, but the new place was already not taking any more patients for the day. She gave us directions to get to the new clinic tomorrow. I guess they do not want our business tomorrow either! I aked about what type of illness they could see right now, and the answer was eye infections. So if you have an eye infection, then go here. If you may need antibiotics, go somewhere else. They do not want to help you.

Health Express is not that. It should be called Doctor by Appointment. We walked in to the Salk office on Sunday morning at 8:00am and were told all ‘reservations’ were booked for the day and we could wait and maybe they could squeeze us in. An hour later they said it was going to be a while. That is NOT health express the way Scripps describes it. Be careful!

Just as an FYI, this is a walk in clinic, NOT an urgent care! Super friendly staff though.
