Just had my first baby here and it was the most wonderful experience. Most of the reviews are about Renee who is wonderful too, but the midwives I had were Stephanie and Jordan and they were also amazing. My husband and I learned so much about birth from them at all the prenatal appointments. It really helped us feel equipped for birth and to make our own informed decisions. As far as the actual birth, they were there to help every step of the way. They are not the kind of midwives who won’t help with the “support” side of birth because they aren’t doulas. Highly highly recommend this center all around!

Just had my second baby at the birth center with Renee. The facility is beautiful and provided exactly the peaceful, quiet environment I needed to help me calm my fears and bring my baby into the world.
Renee is absolutely wonderful and I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive person to be there for me throughout my pregnancy and labor. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and easy to talk to. I looked forward to every prenatal appointment with Renee like it was a chance to catch up with a friend, and I am going to be genuinely sad when I finish seeing her for postpartum care.
If you are even considering an out-of-hospital birth, the SCV Birth Center should absolutely be your first call.

We absolutely love the SCV birth center and everyone there!!! I can’t put into words how grateful I am for Renee and Julia. The level of professional care, gentle concern, and genuine love is just unmatched. We had the best birth experience with these two incredible midwives, but even if the birth hadn’t gone according to plan, I would still be able to write the same review. The level of care we received all nine months was more than I ever could have hoped for. The midwives help you feel confident as a mom - not scared as a patient. They teach and empower and encourage the whole way through. They truly have a gift and we are so thankful to have been able to experience such a sweet birth in their care. I looked forward to my appointments every week like it was a coffee date with a friend. They took time for all of my many first time mama questions and concerns and met me where I was with such love and patience. I can’t even begin to say how grateful I am. If you’re undecided on natural birth, or undecided about going through this birth center, let me just say that you absolutely can do it, and you absolutely should do it here 💛

Renee is an incredibly talented and experienced midwife and a wealth of knowledge! Her birth center is a beautiful, tranquil space, and nationally accredited by the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers (CABC), but when I had my third baby, I knew I wanted to have a home birth. I felt incredibly held, safe and supported throughout my prenatal care and during the birth of my baby. I actually felt better and healed faster after Renee's care than I had with my 2 previous birth experiences. I highly recommend her, Renee and her team are outstanding!

My experience with Renee and all the wonderful people at SCV Birth Center was nothing short of amazing. I had my first child with an OBGYN in the hospital and I wanted to try something different with my second. I found SCV Birth Center and they were exactly what I was looking for. I met with Renee like I would normally meet with an OB, except I had an hour allotted to me at every appointment. I could ask her ANY questions I had and she answered each one wholeheartedly and never brushed me off. I also had options and the ability to make so many of my own choices there, and never felt forced or pressured to do anything. Renee kept me calm and never scared me about some unusual things that came up during my pregnancy. My first daughter was more than welcome at every appointment and her inquisitive ways were encouraged and appreciated by Renee and her staff. When it came time for the birth, I was planning to go to the center but waited too long and had to have my baby at home. Without hesitation, Renee came to me, and assisted me in welcoming my beautiful and healthy baby girl into the world on what turned out to be one of the most beautiful days of my life. Contrary to my first birth at the hospital, my second birth was calm and I felt in control. I cannot thank Renee and her lovely staff enough for how incredible they made my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. Love love love the SCV Birth Center❤️❤️❤️

I cannot say enough great things about everyone and my entire experience at the SCV Birth Center!! After having my first baby at Kaiser and being dissatisfied with the local OB GYNs in the area I decided to tour the birth center after multiple recommendations from people including my child’s pediatrician. From the very beginning the entire team at SCV Birth Center was so welcoming, I got to know everyone on a first name basis and did not feel like just another “number”. You can tell the midwives genuinely care about you and your experience by the level of care, time and coaching provided during each appointment and labor. My husband and I are very happy with our decision to have our second daughter here and will have any future children here with them as well!

There aren’t enough good things to say about Renee, Angie, and the team at SCV Birth Center. I recommend them to every single pregnant mom that I know!
They walked through two very difficult pregnancies with me and supported me both physically and emotionally. No matter when, where, or how often I needed them, someone was available to counsel me through whatever I was going through. I always felt they were going above and beyond my expectations and were everything that I wanted in a care provider for my prenatal care and labor/delivery.
Also a huge bonus for me was the breastfeeding help I received after from Renee, who is a certified lactation consultant. My kids all had trouble breastfeeding and the support I received from her was phenomenal.
If you are on the fence, at least schedule a walk through to meet Renee and see what an out-of-hospital birth could be like. It is 100% worth your time.

I absolutely recommend the SCV Birth Center to any expecting mother who wants an amazing birthing experience. Renee and the team are so loving and caring! They make it a point to remind you that everything you’re experiencing before, during and after pregnancy is valid and that they are always there to assist you through it all! I gave birth to both of my daughters here (water birth) and if God gives me the honor a third time, I’ll for sure be at the SCV Birth Center!
