Wow. I’ve never been treated so terribly in my life. Nurse asked if I was coming down from anything (no just looked bad, been tossing my cookies for 7 hours…) and then proceeded to tell me “you have the flu you’re not dying“. Not something you wanna hear when you’re at your wits end. The quality of care was absolutely lacking, and I wish these people the best. I however will never come here. I will talk completely negative about them until the end. As someone in the service industry disgusted with these humans.

I was admitted twice at this hospital the 26th and 31st and both time they accepted me in a timely manner. They prioritize on patient emergency needs. Testing was fast and prompt to help with my conditions. All doctors Where knowledgeable and nurses very caring. Once admitted in room nurses were extremely friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this hospital for their hospitality even being under so much pressure by so many patients.

I have a severe sore throat for days and i was having chills and shaking plus sensitive stomach, just to wait 5 hours for the doctor to tell me “i’m fine” bc i was negative for flu and covid. Okay, but i would like to have some clarity as to what kind of infection it is. They just tried to get me out with some steroid medicine (this just suppresses immune system and worsens the problem) They didn’t even run bloodwork. Worst hospital ever.

I have came 3 times, each time has been a terrible experience. Last time I came in because my heart rate was over 120, I arrived Friday at 1:10 am, I waited until 5:20 am to get blood work. By this time my heart had calmed down. I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore, so I left without seeing the doctor. I was in the ER waiting room the entire time without being monitored! I better not get a bill or I will fight it. Don't come here, they suck. The next day, I went to AFC Urgent Care in Pt. Loma and they fixed me up. I have Sharp insurance, so I had to pay out of pocket at AFC but I was in and out in 20 minutes, and time is money. They're only $189.

I arrived to this hospital on 5:30 PM today, I waited 4 hours to be seen by the doctor, I have asked the nurse several times to know the reason why the doctor is not coming, he told me he is busy,
It means that the doctor does not have time to see an assigned patient within four hours.
The main reason is business on patients, this hospital keep you as long as they could to charge you as more as they could, especially when you have medical, you should be in this hospital for at lease five hours so they could earn enough money, they do not care about status of patients.

In my opinion, this is without a doubt one of the best hospital ever. I highly recommend it!
My husband had a health problem and was treated immediately. The entire team are excellent, friendly and respectful .
The doctor, Dr. Cheng and his team are amazing.
The service is absolutely perfect.
They saved my husband's life for real, due to his agility and professionalism, he was helped immediately and attended.
They are super fast and PRO.
I will be eternally grateful.
I changed my health insurance plan just so that I can only be treated at this hospital if I need it.
If I could, I would give it 10 stars. I am extremely satisfied.

My friend was referred to the emergency room by Sharp’s urgent care center and she was able to get a bed extremely quickly. The nurses were super kind, patient and responded to every single question or concern we had. The initial doctor who evaluated my friend in the ER said she would likely be admitted, but then another doctor (Dr. Nourin) glanced at her vitals and said she’s fine and does not need to be admitted, even though she came into the ER due to dangerously low BP and tachycardia. This is concerning because she did not agree to admit her until hours later when my friend was still complaining of lots of chest pain and stomach pain and crying. If we did not advocate to the nurses what my friend was feeling, Dr. Nourin would not have admitted her and we could have had a potentially dangerous situation considering she stayed admitted for 2 whole days after the ER visit. I appreciate all the nurses who took our concerns seriously and always followed up on what they said they would. Two stars are missing for the doctor’s dismissive approach to my friend’s case—otherwise this review would be a complete 5-star review.

The nurses in the ER were all responsive and respectful. The Doctors and cardiologist never communicated a treatment plan and were unavailable for 6+ hours while trying to get information. When I told the nurses I wasn’t getting what I needed and my heart rate was spiking to 145 at rest, they paged the doctor for several hours with no response. I told them if I don’t get help immediately I would have to leave and find care elsewhere at another ER. The nurse then told me the Doctor in charge of me wasn’t even at the hospital and was unavailable. At that point I disconnected all my monitors and walked out as an AMA and checked into another ER where I was treated with dignity and respect and they resolved my issue. Considering pursuing legal action against SHARP Grossmont for the lack of care I received.
