Parking there sucks. Handicapped parking there is better than some other Sharp locations, but why the heck did they recently reserve the entire top deck for VALET parking only?! Handicapped parking fills up fast. I mean it is, after all, a medical office so you would expect a lot of people that have mobility issues to show up there. But I guess management can't fathom that. Most of the time, many, most, or all of those valet parking spots are empty! So me being a rebel, I park there anyway! I just hang my handicapped plaque up when I do. I tell other handicapped folks to do the same since ALL the other handicapped spots are full! In fact, when I was there yesterday, there were at least 2 dozen other vehicles that had to turn around since the structure was otherwise FULL! I even asked the employees inside why they had the reserved VALET parking on the top deck, and none of them knew! NONE! Those spots are literally wasted when they could have been put to very good use for patients! But I guess management would rather have their perks and leave the customers out parking across the street at the mall and push their walkers up that hill, after all, they are executive management and who cares about patients anyway...

Dr. Marissa Lovio (OBGYN) had horrible attitude and her staff seems to follow her lead. She was a bit rude and insensitive. I’m so glad this was a one time visit only. No wonder this place has a 2.2 rating. If you can go to other locations, do. This is my first bad experience with Sharp. Very unprofessional. It took me good 20 minutes in the parking lot to compose myself. It’s hard for me to believe they are part of Sharp Rees Stealy. Front desk staff where I checked in were nice.

Had the flu, called the number to find parking. Sounded like it was a general receptionist located elsewhere. Turns out the urgent care located here was closed and moved to Santee! So communication was horrible. That would've been nice to know since I was already suffering and had Spikes of brain pain, vertigo and depth perception issues. Do not try to go to this locations Urgent care! It's not there!! Please remove this posting of urgent care at La Mesa!!

The service here has gotten worse since the roll out of the new Sharp app. I sent my doctor a message on Monday and have yet to hear back. I've sent multiple messages through the app and called several times to have the same messages relayed by a Sharp team member. I've been told it takes up to 3 business days, we are now on day 4 with NOTHING. I've been going to Sharp for 20 years now and I think it's time to find another health care provider.

This is for the occupational department. This would be a 1 star, but the 2nd star is for some of the good nurses there. The 1 star is for how bad this place is when needing to schedule an appointment or follow up with the doctors. Alicia at the front desk of occupational is beyond unprofessional. She always has an attitude when I tell her that I had to hang up and call back because I have been on hold for over 10 minutes. This has happened to me many times in the past year, with her only. Today, she hung up on me in the middle of me asking a second question. No kind of professionalism at all. She needs to treat people on the phone as she treats people in person. We're all dealing with a medical problem and no way in hell we should have to deal with that kind of attitude to be able to proceed to the next step. A system is definitely needed to be put in place to be able to handle phone calls and in person appointments. This is just what happened today, but I have had many altercations like this in the past year with with Sharp Rees-stealy La Mesa Occupational. Mainly Alicia. DO BETTER!

Worse ER I have ever been to. I tested positive for covid, and called the 24 hr nurse line and with my breathing issues and high tempture she said to go directly to ER. I get there and the rn that took my information asked why I was there, I said covid he then actually say" again why are you here covid is not a concern that you need to come to the er for. I said your kidding the 24 hour nurse line said she was concerned for me, and to by pass the urgent care and go atraight to the er. This extremely rude rn then said I could put you down but it will take about 10 hours. He really could care less that I was having a very difficult time breathing. Crazy on every level.

I should have seen the horrible reviews before coming to this place. I had my insurance retrod affective the first of the month and it was approved and the insurance wanted to fax the office a proof of coverage and eligibility letter so I could be seen. I had an appointment and when I got there, the lady in the front OB office JESSICA would not accept a fax of proof of coverage and only wanted it to be seen in the portal. The portal takes a few days to update. The system is slow. So she turned me away and would not allow me to be seen even though I had coverage. She was super rude to me and then I noticed she cancelled all my upcoming appointments with the medical group! How is that ok to cancel someone's appointments without approval? Wow this lady hates her life and job and takes it out on everyone else!

The OBGYN office in grossmont is terrible. I’m an expectant mother, with a history of miscarriage. They scheduled my first prenatal appointment at my 10 week mark, and I urged them to see me sooner. They never return voicemails. They have treated me as if my concerns have no priority. The man I spoke with was extremely insensitive and when voicing my concern for my child said “I’m sorry you feel this way.” I am irate, and am completely displeased with the lack of attention and kindness the staff has. I am not looking forward to my pregnancy journey with Sharp grossmont.
