I could hear nurses and doctors talking crap about the patients. I went in because my doctors told me to, in severe pain in my right shoulder and ribs, and neck and half my face going numb, I told them about my other health conditions and that crutches I have been using probably caused me to injure myself and all they did was move my arm around and tell me to go home is .I still have chest pain and hurts when I breathe in and still in severe pain. Called my nurse is again to tell them what they did and they wanted me to call the paramedics but I'm afraid to because I will just be sent back to the hospital that didn't do anything or even check for something serious they didn't listen to me when I said I have super tachycardia they didn't even bother checking my heart. If anything happens to me please send me to kootenai!!!! Not to mention my blood pressure was at 150/94 way above my normal. So let's hope i don't have a heart attack thanks Shoshone for nothing. My arm and hand are still numb and tingly. Also the doctor was rude!!! And apparently you have to be crying before they believe you. I heard them say in the hall that I wasn't even crying so I must not be in pain. Very unprofessional worst hospital ever. If anything happens to any of you don't go there tell people to take you to kootenai.

I'm a local of the silver valley. This hospital is absolutely horrible when it comes to treating patients. The drs are mean. They yell at you for coming up and the last time I was there for severe knee pain bc I dislocated it, the dr left the door open when giving me the results of my xrays, and he tried touching my leg when I was still in the stupid gown they put me in after he had already examined my leg. One dr actually made a joke about me taking my son up there bc I had my daughter up there a few days prior bc she was running a high fever then my son was a couple days later.
However I can say that they saved my life and my sons life when I was severely sick while pregnant in 2019 my appendix was so inflamed that it nearly burst. They immediately sent me over to Coeur d'Alene hospital to have surgery saving me and my son. They also worked very fast when my son was severely sick in 2022 he had a 105 fever and immediately put him on IV and gave him a cool rag on his head. His fever broke later that night. I'd definitely recommend going to Coeur-dalene if you can. Much better hospital.

I find that the small local hospitals quite rarely get good reviews. Due to this, wanted to share a great experience that I had with one of my children at this fairly rural hospital. Admissions staff was welcoming and efficient, nursing staff got us right back to the exam room and made my toddler feel as comfortable as possible. Felt very confident in the care we received from Dr. Panos. Obviously, an ED is never a place that you want to find yourself in, but given the circumstances, this is an emergency department that I would feel very confident in getting care in myself.

My grandson has viral meningitis. I went to room 8 where he was at. I stuck to the floor and cleaned it myself. The nurse spoke in circles when I asked him questions. The nurse came in later and wanted my grandson to sign forms on recesitate and the right to treat. The nurse was not reading it to him, just wanted him to sign. I intervened and said explain it to him. Finally got food. I went to move the food tray and my hand stuck to the bottom of it. They did an MRI and released him. Still super sick and speech impaired. Don't ever use this place.

I went into the er following up on no progress of a kidney infection after a few days of being on an oral antibiotic. The entire staff was quick to get me back into a room and the process started. From the time I got there to the time I left, Dr. Whalen, Emilie, and the rest of the staff were great to work with. I was in and out with excellent care and back home in bed all within 2 hours. Thank you Dr. Whalen, Emilie, and the rest of the staff for the quick friendly treatment to get me out of pain and back in my bed.

The first time I visited here, I went for back pain. I was in so much pain, I could hardly walk and couldn't sit. Dr Newby told me to get on the wait-list for a scan and sent me home. I ended up seeing a different doctor and getting X-rays that showed degenerative discs causing pinched nerves.

Last night, my 6 month old spiked a fever of 104. I brought him in and saw Dr Newby again. He didn't seem concerned so while he was discharging us, I asked "at what point is a fever concerning enough to seek medical attention?" He replied "never" and continued on about how fevers are good for us and our bodies will never naturally create a fever that could cause us harm. He sounds like a freaking crack pot and I will never take my son there again.

I was having some severe upper abdomen pain so I went in through the E.R. I was pregnant at the time. They did an EKG and some other urine and blood tests, and found that I had elevated liver and pancreas enzymes. The doctor repeatedly in an extremely rude way kept asking (At least 3 times) what drugs and alcohol I was using. I understand asking once, but to keep asking and acting like I was being dishonest really bothered me. I ended up going over to CDA and found out I had gallstone pancreatitis and had to have surgery to remove my gallbladder while I was pregnant.
The doctor was very unprofessional and rude.
They dismissed my concerns and sent me home.
I definitely will not step foot in this place again.

I was advised to go in to the er because I have been sick for well over a month can't breathe headache Nausea congestion ect. I waited 2 hours in an ice cold room. They treated me as if I was a diseased outbreak but yet tested me for nothing. Then after 2 hours of waiting in a room I was told its probably just a bug and to go home. They did no tests did not check my breathing my lungs nothing. I waited for 2 hours and will im sure receive and astronomical bill. The negligence and carelessness is truly disappointing. Do not go here !
