Everybody’s already said basically what’s true . But I’d like to add , I feel like I felt really uncomfortable since I just turned 18 and you get placed with creepy men living in the same like unit as you . Like there was this guy that would not leave me alone and follow me around and when I was talking to some other girls in my unit he had physical harassed them and it seems like the nurses don’t pay attention to that. It felt uncomfortable too since patients would lash out and felt like you weren’t safe . Especially with those weird dudes , you being in your room or just taking a shower was scary cuz they would just pass by while not being able to have your door closed . There was also another patient who was extremely violent and broke the phone and would be violent towards staff . And she had to be roommates with one of the other patients I would talk to and they were very scared to be there with her . Overall I feel like it’s just not a safe environment and it didn’t really help that the doctors would barely try to talk to find solutions . One mother thing to add , a lady that was also there who did not talk English was desperately trying to find help and they would just ignore her and she didn’t get a translator till a week later . Or others would do everything they asked and be told they would be discharged at a certain date just to be told they changed it to a later date for no reason .

I’m sad to see so many people who may have had such horrible experiences here. My daughter was there for a short time and experienced almost none of this. She confirmed the beds sucked, the blankets were very thin, and the food sucked. Otherwise she said the staff was very nice and checked on her often. She was able to talk to me anytime I called and was even to call me almost immediately after she got there. It was loud there but she never felt unsafe.

The staff/nurses do not genuinely care about their patients at all whatsoever. They barely listen to your needs or in general to anything you have to say that they don’t want to hear. I could barely get a hold of my own doctor everyday. I was lucky to maybe get a sentence out of him each morning which was no help or support considering they are the ones in charge of me. Very discouraging and disrespectful at times which was very upsetting considering this job is to WANT to help people get better not act like we are nothing.

I worked at this hospital and gave my best effort to keep the patients happy. However, after some time, something terrible happened—a patient attacked me. When I realized no one was coming to help, it became clear that the hospital has no security to protect its staff. You might wonder why, but the reality is that there is no protection in place. If you are considering working at this hospital, it's not a good place for anyone—not just for the staff but also for the patients.

I miss you Maria, Eric, Anthony, Ashley, Vanda, and all the rest, Yes, the food was crap but it was free. Yes, it is a place you don't want to be, but I'm giving five stars to the staff who made me laugh and smile everyday. I loved you then and I love you now.

Some people who work here (nurses) are genuinely trying to help. The food is not bad. The “beds” are hard - just wood with a thin topper. If you get cold they deny you warmth other than the one super light “throw” they provide. One of the psychiatrists seems to enjoy the power trip with how he deals with patients. It was well known within the patients. If you didn’t have him you were lucky. The problem is that this place seems rotten at the administrative level. They definitely milk peoples insurance. They pick and choose and if you have medi-cal they will want you to leave. If you have good insurance they will want you to stay. You can tell they don’t function with the primary goal to help people; they function to get as much money as they can at the cost of the experience and health of their unfortunate patients.

i recently went here for panic attacks. it's not as bad as some of the reviews say it is. they're not very strict and some things were out of order. everyone was friendly and didn't ignore me. the food wasn't great, but it was edible.

Would give this place zero starts if I could. No actual treatment, the place is just a filthy cattle pen covered in graffiti, old food, and of stone aged globs of indeterminate origin calcifying on the walls. I have proof of these conditions, which I am keeping until I'm sure I'm speaking with the correct authorities.
Every word said on almost every Yelp/Google etc is true. And then some.
A further Google will lead one to find Sierra Vista has had a record of patient deaths due to staff negligence/incompetence.
This place should be shut down.
Everyone who runs the place, obviously meant to farm as much as they could get out of Medicare for the least amount of effort, should be ashamed.
