My daughter was a cancer patient for 9 years since age 7 when she aged out at 18 from her pediatric Dr we went with Christa we loved her a.d knew her from caring for my mom and made sure any of my daughters meds wouldn't be a issue now that she is gone indefinitely the other Dr and staff are refusing to fill her meds and treating her like crap and disrespectful because they don't like me totally unprofessional and shouldn't be caring for patient if they can't separate personal and professional. I'm not a patient. Sad Sad place not for anyone who is special needs

I'm not sure what happened with this office. For whatever reason they are unable to prescribe medications. There was no phone call no email. Just we can't provide your medicine. It is a corporate decision for this facility. So now that Iam out of medicine I have been sent to two different specialists. Each office visit will costs me separately. I don't know what happened. I haven't heard from my health care provider in months. The new nurse isn't making things any better.

I’m only rating 1 star because I can’t leave a review with zero stars. My experience here has been the worst doctor experience I’ve had locally, and I will never recommend this office to anyone I actually care about. I have chronic illness and haven’t been able to see my PCP in over 6 months because she just decides to not be in the office when I’ve had appointments set for weeks beforehand. Took weeks to get callbacks about lab results, never had my info updated every time I told them something needed changed. Zero out of five stars

I've used this clinic with Mary (previously NP and all around amazing) and Christa (current NP, very knowledgeable, kind) I've not had a terrible experience yet. I don't ever have to wait when I get there, I just show up when I'm supposed to. I love having a phone visit option now to cut down exposure. I'm able to get in to SIHF vs the ER for quicker relief, when I have needed it during the day. When I call them, there is always an answer during business hours. Edit: the rest of my review remains the same however as of 11/2024 and only one appt with Ashley Huddleston at the mattoon location for both myself and my child, while my own provider is out on leave- we’re extremely displeased with our level of care and the way we were treated by what seems like a mentally unstable provider even thinking back about our experience right now. We weren’t with Ms Huddleston 5 minutes before being cut off 2 sentences in to our appt for our child. I let the provider know her behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable. Ms Huddleston stormed out and slammed the door with a huff and puff and some deep sighing and “ugh I can’t believe this” “wow” and more attitude and unprofessionalism all the way down the hallway- where other patient population including my small child could hear. Even after the office manager came to intervene the provider continued to speak over the office manager and myself when I began to explain what was upsetting about our experience with this provider. The office manager offered our money back but it isn’t about money- I’ll pay for an appointment. The behavior was my only concern. During this conversation with the office manager the provider lied about her actions while again attempting to speak over myself, although I had another adult and a child with me to witness it. When she left the room she was sweaty and red in the face and appeared angry. I could be wrong but her job is to listen to patient concerns and not to cut a patient off when she doesn’t want to hear what they have to say or isn’t familiar with them as a patient.

The Nurse Practitioner Christa made me change this review because she basically called me a drug addiction when she knew I was in so much pain and took me off my pain medication! I DO not recommend her, especially if you have chronic pain issues!

Always a pleasure every time I see Christa! She has been key in my health for the last 4-5 years or so! She is Very caring and intelligent, if she doesn’t know the answers she definitely will refer your to the specialists that do. She is very straightforward, honest and listens to your concerns. Thank you Christa and all of the staff members of SIHF of Mattoon!
