Silverlake ADHC was my clinical location for my public health term. The staff, the RN’s and the participants are all extremely nice and welcoming. The nurses on staff were all very welcoming and created a safe space for us as nursing students to learn and come to them with any concerns or opportunities to learn. I would recommend this location for nursing interns and for participants!

i was a nursing student at this day care for adults for nearly 2 months and this place has lazy and irresponsible RNs. this place need to be reported because they have students doing legal documents on their patients. they have the students who filling out these documents and the RNs just sign off on them. to the families of the participants i would recommend in discussing with the owners on why they have students doing the legal documents of the participants. this is a HIPPA violation for sure and they do not care. if the RNs signature is on the forms then the RNs should be completed by the RNs so why are students doing it?
to the future students this place is is not that hard other then doing all of the RNs charting and documentation. your basically doing all of their work. the pros is free parking, free lunch and you get to leave early. the RNs can be annoying. they will be on their phones in front of participants and in their office but they will tell your instructors if they catch you on your phone. its so annoying because they will literally be on their phones all the time but verbally attack us if they see us on ours. so look out for that.

I had a clinical rotation here for my public health practicum and it was one of my favorite rotations throughout nursing school. The owner, staff, and participants were extremely welcoming and friendly. This community is very positive as the staff improves the quality of lives for participants. I looked forward to coming in every shift and being present in everyone's positive attitudes.

I'm a 3rd year nursing student and had the privilege of spending 8 weeks at SLADC while studying Public Health and interacting with all those that attended and worked at the facility.

SLADC has a true family oriented approach in working with and serving the many Filipino and Korean senior citizens in the community and strongly advocates for the seniors to interact amongst themselves and to remain engaged at their own leisure throughout the morning and into the afternoon.

With Social Service workers and registered nurses available at the site the seniors who attend the center are unquestionably assured a professional and positively reinforced environment where everyone is made to feel welcomed.

For any members of the community and any adjacent neighborhoods to Silver Lake who are senior citizens I would highly recommend looking into and participating at SLADC.
