Shelby was so kind and welcoming! Also very informative with the process which made me feel more at ease since it was my first mammogram. The receptionist was also very kind and I was called back at my scheduled time, no long extra waiting. Would highly recommend this office.

The staff that did my mammogram and ultrasound were great. They were professional and nice! The reason for the 3 stars is I was charged 3 times the amount then i should have been charged.
I called my insurance beforehand to see how much it should cost. My insurance is currently trying to reach them to get my money back. I should have been charged $98 and they charged me $278. I told the office that I should not be charged that much and they said I couldn’t get it done unless I paid it right then.
The forms that they sent to me were for a male patient. I called them several times to fix the issue. it was never fixed.
My last reason is that I had previous appointment originally scheduled. I needed my previous images looked at and when I got there the front desk told me the lady that does that isn’t there that day of my appointment and I had to reschedule. It took another month to get in. This was all very frustrating!
There was however, one staff in the office that was very helpful and nice. I wish I could remember her name. She had great customer service.

First, they rush you to arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment, only to turn around and tell you they’re running an hour behind. Then comes the real kicker: you’re informed you have to self-pay because you’re “out of network.” This, after you’ve jumped through hoops on their website, entering your insurance details with a referral from your doctor. They could have easily told me this beforehand, sparing me the wasted time and frustration. But of course, why would they? It’s all part of their money-grabbing scam. And to top it off, the receptionist acts like your visit is the inconvenience—as if your presence is a personal affront. They should be grateful that people are getting sick; it’s literally the reason they have food on their table. Instead, they just look annoyed and constipated.

You’d think the front desk girls would be more pleasant.

As a patient it’s our responsibility to know our benefits. I was asked to pay a copay. I kindly informed the front desk girl that I shouldn’t have a copay my imaging is covered at 100%. I proceeded to pull up my insurance app to show her and she didn’t even bother looking. Then said do I have a reference number from my insurance I said no but I can call and get one no problem. Hands me my paperwork. I get to work completing it and calling my insurance.

Insurance confirms no copay no deductible 100% covered as long as they are in network which Simon med is. Get the reference number and turn my paperwork into the front desk staff. I explain what I was told wrote it on the paperwork so she could reference. She then says their 3rd party is saying I still owe $65. I asked why I gave her the information. Well they to verified my benefits she says. I ask for the reference number they were given and oh they’re doing it right now they don’t have a reference number. What?! I then explained I actually know my benefits I called the insurance I got a reference number as asked and showed her my app. It wasn’t enough because I didn’t get a name. What?! She did mention she didn’t tell me I didn’t know my benefits and that she was trying to help me. I told her I’m not paying, I’m not trying to chase a refund once my claim processes, and that her 3rd party could go back and look at my previous claims because they in fact were paid at 100% and I was owed a refund each time. She said she would follow up with her 3rd party and told me I could have a seat. Didn’t get back to me throughout the duration of my appt.

You tell patients it’s their responsibility to know their benefits. I did and still I was made to feel like a liar even after doing all the things requested of me at the time of my appointment. Make it make sense. But also train your staff better. You give what you get. Respect is earned.

On the other hand My imaging tech was very nice and professional.

I went to Simon Med for a sonogram and it was a good experience. It was scheduled on a Sat and I was the only patient there. I was early so they took me in almost immediately. The receptionist and the technician were courteous, friendly and respectful. It was a pleasant experience.

I had an appointment for a Breast Ultrasound. The front reception was very nice and patient. The wait was about 20 mins only because I arrived too early. The lady that did my Ultrasound was very nice, friendly, gave explanations as to what she was doing. Great office. Loved the warm welcome.

I have been going to SimonMed for my mammogram for years, it has always been a positive experience. It’s easy to schedule my appointment either via phone or online. I’m able to fill out any necessary forms online.
Appointments are scheduled appropriately so I don’t spend too much time in the waiting room or sitting around waiting for the technician.
Shelby was my technician, she was great.
