I’m not sure if there’s been a change in management at the urgent care we’ve been going to, but the quality of service and the professionalism of the current providers have become a joke. This urgent care is conveniently located near our house, and we used to like it a lot. However, the past two visits have been horrible.

My child had been running a fever for three days, so we went in today. The provider we saw was PA Rita Farr. She quickly checked my child’s ear, and as I was explaining his symptoms, she cut me off mid-sentence, saying that the vital signs needed to be taken, and then she just left. When the nurse came back to check the vital signs, she said, “We’re done; we’ll provide discharge papers.” I was taken aback and told her that we hadn’t even been properly seen. The nurse insisted that the provider had already seen my child. I explained that Rita had left in the middle of my explanation.

Later, Rita Farr returned and said my child had a lung infection. She then prescribed an antibiotic and a steroid. I was left wondering how she could diagnose a lung infection without even examining his lungs.

Unsatisfied, I decided to look for another urgent care and found a pediatric-specific one. We went there after seeing Rita Farr, and the physician who examined my child said there was absolutely no lung infection and that his lungs were clear. I’m furious about the incorrect diagnosis and the unprofessional behavior of PA Rita Farr. It was a complete failure in both diagnosis and work ethics.

I have come here plenty of times, if not for me, with other family members. Everyone is super kind, friendly and helpful. I’m so happy that it’s so close to my home. PA Kiley is incredibly sweet and understanding. She made me comfortable in a very uncomfortable situation.

To anyone considering going to this urgent care center or using their virtual visit program, DO NOT go or use their virtual visit program. I scheduled my virtual visit appointment for 11 a.m. today. I completed the paperwork and paid in advance. As instructed, I joined the meeting room online at 10:45 a.m., 15 minutes earlier than the appointment time. I waited for the provider from SmartClinic, holding my phone for 35 minutes until 11:20 a.m. No one from SmartClinic showed up during my 35-minute wait. There was not even a staff member from this clinic to join in to guide me through it or at least tell me to wait patiently.
I called the clinic after I left the no-show virtual visit to request my refund. A lady told me that's normal for them and hung up the phone on me.
I want to share this experience with anyone who's considering using their services. Their virtual visit program is NOT ready to take patients, and their staff's customer service was horrible.

To SmartClinic West Covina, you really should remove the virtual visit program for patients. Based on my horrible experience earlier, your medical staff and customer service are far from ready to support this service.

I went here yesterday they didn't offer me a doctors note, I had a bad reaction to thier medication they're not helpful at all over the phone, very rude refused to send me doctors note after the fact. I am very disaapointed. I have been going here for years, but this is the last time wouldn't reccomend to anyone.VERY Rude and unprofessional front desk

Worst urgent care ever, I went a couple weeks ago because my skin was all itchy. Obviously I didn't know what it was at that time.
When I went to this urgent care, an afroamerican doctor saw me and told me: "it's just an allergic reaction, you might have been using a different soap or shampoo." Despite I had a lot of others symptoms, like fever, blurry vision, headache, fully fluid-filled blister, among others.
Believing their diagnosis, I went to work that day (I work with children).
However, the itching persisted, and the cream they provided did little to alleviate it.
I had to go to another clinic the next day because the itchy will not stop. The first thing they told me when they saw me in this other clinic was: you have CHICKEN POX! You need to do quarantine.
Thanks to the misdiagnosis, I inadvertently exposed numerous children to the virus. Also, because I thought it was just an allergy, I kept scratching myself, now I have HUGE scars on my face and on my back. I will always remember this clinic for the rest of my life everytime I see my scars in the mirror.

In August I contacted SmartClinic about a billing issue dating back to Feb 2024. I was charged an amount much higher than my plan allowed. I was promised that I would be refunded the difference once insurance approved the visit. Fast forward to me contacting SmartClinic in August... I've called them 4+ times and emailed them 3+ times asking for an update on the refund. Unfortunately, I have to resort to a 1 star review to try and get this figured out. I'm hoping someone sees this review and does the right thing because I would hate to resort to small claims for such a small amount that should have been refunded automatically.

The worst receptonist I've ever met. We simply ask where did they send our prescription to and the receptionist respond with the most rude attitudes I've ever seen. Horrible place do not come. They are racist！！！

Five stars for this clinic. Friendly and smiling staff put my apprehension at ease. PA Benjamin and the lady (sorry, I did not get your name) that assisted him were very friendly and professionals. Did a good job with the procedure. Never thought that I would come out of a doctor's office or any clinic with a smile on my face! Kudos to all the staff of this clinic.
