Very nice facility providing that very much needed care in the Dothan Alabama area. we had to visit a friend in the intensive Care unit and the male nurses there were overlooking this gentleman were of exceptional character and worthy to be acknowledged for their friendliness and overall pleasant personalities. If the rest of the staff is anywhere like these men, I believe your loved ones would be well taken care of. May the Father bless all of you.

I was put here for literally the wrong reason (I needed rehab not psychiatric care) but I will say they act like doing their job bothers them like? It’s your job but ok. Very rude and honestly no help at all. Uncaring and unprofessional when in reality some of those people in there need is someone who cares and understanding! Do better because it’s ridiculous.

Had my infusion done last week! The gals up there take such good care of me! Kim and Kayleigh go above and beyond to make me comfortable and even though my appointments are 6 months apart they seem to remember me and know exactly what I need. I don't dread my treatments! Also...mammograms at SE are so fast!! And MRI lets me listen to my favorite music.

Trauma Informed Care practices for patients that have certain disorders are lacking and wanting in the BMU Adult Unit at South East Hospital. This lack of policies and procedures to address patients that need Trauma informed Care practices that are evidence based medical practices has the consequences of regression, additional triggers of Revictimization in patients, longer impatient stays, potential for commitment process, and more. The are some good Nurses, Doctors and Staff that work in Bmu units, however the work they strive to accomplish is made difficult and unsustainable long term without Trauma informed policies in place and procedures.

The only reason this place gets one star is because negative ratings aren't available! The BMU is horrid and they treat you worse than a prisoner. All the staff were very rude and uncaring! I am an insulin dependent diabetic and I had to beg just to get my required insulin injections. Had I not kept begging for my insulin I guess they would have just waited until I went DKA to do anything if even then. I was there less than 24 hours and would rather die than to ever go back! My doctor discharged me at 1pm and it took them 4 hours before they let me go which is, under the law, kidnapping. Please, never go here or let anyone you care about go here. No human being should ever be treated the way they treat people!!!

I have tried to find appreciation for this hospital over the years. However, recently my mother was admitted for a common surgery and somehow ended up having a stroke. At one point during her stay she was given too much medication. There is absolutely no well thought out Covid policies for admitted patients and family members. No one was allowed to see her at any point moreover no one called to update any family member on her status. In short, go to flowers.

Was here January 2020 and now in February 2021. There's a difference in staffing. COVID policy restricts to 1 visitor per day. ER let 1 family member go with patient. All visitors out at 6PM, no overnight. Caregivers try, but are sometimes overwhelmed. Lots of nursing students under supervision.

Having stayed at this hospital a few nights with my aunt that had suffered a stroke I wouldn't recommend this hospital. The nursing staff is horrible! Housekeeping may be understaffed so to explain the reason for the dirty linens, dirty floors and overflowing trash cans. Would not myself be admitted to this hospital.
