For the last 9 bookings in a row they have cancelled 😠 on me. If I could give them a negative 100, I would!! United healthcare sets up the ride and one day before my appointment southern Illinois transportation cancels!! Furthermore, the phone number they list is either disconnected or is no longer in service!! They should change their
name to Southern Illinois NO TRANSPORTATION!! If they cannot provide rides properly they should get out of the business or be kicked out by the state and/or Medicare!!

THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!!! ONE OF THEIR DRIVERS HIT ME IN THEIR COMPANY VEHICLE AND DID OVER 3000 DOLLARS OF DAMAGE. FOR A MONTH THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND PAY FOR MY CAR AND BEGGED ME NOT TO GO TO THIER INSURANCE SINCE THEY HAVE A HUGE DEDUCTIBLE. THEN TODAY THEY DECIDED THEY ARE NOT GOING TO COVER IT. BEWARE THEY HIRE IRRESPONSIBLE DRIVERS AND THEY ARE A IRRESPONSIBLE COMPANY WHO WILL NOT DO THE RIGHT THING.

The only reason I give them one star is because I have to give at least one in order to leave a review. I am on oxygen and use a Jazzy power chair, which I have used for several months. A couple of weeks ago, a female driver, who has driven places before, in the same van with the same wheelchair, suddenly decided that she could not properly secure my chair because it didn't have a strap in the front (it has NEVER had a strap in the front. There's not even a place for one.), so I missed my appointment and had to reschedule for the following week. The following week, she called the facility where I live and said that she had been trying to call me as she was running late. She never called, never showed up, never even bothered to apologize. I called my insurance and told them to never schedule me with her again.

Terrible service. They say they show up and then they don't. They are liars. Say they call you and they don't. Made me miss several appointments. DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING!!!

The drivers themselves have been kind and polite to me. I am a very large person so I need seatbelt extension. I’ve asked several times and they refuse to provide any for their vehicles. I always feel unsafe riding in their cars without a seatbelt, but I have no way to get to doctors appointments. Unfortunately, my last driver who picked me up from my appointment to take me home, have this minivan that was only made for wheelchairs. It was high off the ground, so it was really hard for me to get into and painful. They had a bench to sit on in the back, but it was high off the ground so my feet couldn’t touch the ground. Of course I couldn’t wear the seatbelt and there was nothing to hang onto. I’m I was terrified the whole time if they had to slam on the brakes that I would be seriously injured. I don’t know why they just can’t buy seatbelt extenders for their cars. It’s not hard or expensive.

This company is an absolute joke. They left me stranded at my doctor's office after an appointment and had to hitchhike 30 miles home. They never bothered telling me they weren't coming. Now I've been waiting for over an hour for them to show for an appointment that I can't miss. This the second time I've been left stranded because they claimed the driver had a flat and had to be towed. The owner is an absolutely awful person and screams at the driver's. This would be a one star company if not for the few 5 star ratings with no comments.

Most drivers with this company are professional and friendly. However there is one driver, Carey Newman who is very unprofessional, racist and down right rude. There have been several other riders who have had bad experiences with her as well. I encourage anyone who has issues to report her to the company or if she takes you off route dial 911 immediately. She has been known to slam on her breaks out of anger causing whip lash and caused a man to bumb his head leaving a goose egg. She is very unpleasant. She will often threaten to call her husband who is a correctional officer to join her on rides if she feels threatened by a person's looks. She talks trash about majority of the riders she picks up, from the 'dopeheads' she takes to the methadone clinics to the lady who stinks and has bed bugs in West Frankfort. These are all her words. She has also had her husband call the police to pull over her car so they can search some of her riders. She talks trash about majority of her co-workers as well. If you value your life and safety please do not ride with Carey. If Southern Illinois Transportation valued their company they would terminate her immediately.

I have been forgotten on 5 occasions. Then when I do get there I’m forged to sit outside in the sun for at least 2 and a half to 3 hours waiting to be brought back home. I’ve filed with the insurance company, who is working with me to see the exact times of pick up to and pick up home. My appointments are critical, and cannot be missed every 2 weeks. Sitting outside in the heat is detrimental to my health. The insurance company is aware of the seriousness of my illness. They have given me their word something will be done about it. I would like to add that the drivers are phenomenal. Every single driver , except one, that they had to call in from Springfield, because they forgot me again . (That woman was rude). The other drivers are fantastic. Paul, is always on time, he gives you a courtesy call etc. truthfully it’s as if the drivers work for a different company. They are so good, and the people you call on the phone are so bad, there aren’t words to express their incompetence.
