If I could give negative stars I would. The billing department is rude and incompetent. My son went to be checked out after an accident and it was billed as a workman's comp case, which it wasn't and he repeatedly told them to bill his insurance. After several calls to the hospital they couldn't get it right. I called the billing office today and spoke to a very rude woman named Ashley. She told me it was too late to bill the insurance which is not my son's problem. Sturdy made the error and THEY need to figure it out. I've already contacted a consumer reporter from all 3 local news networks to assist me in resolving this. Stay away from Sturdy if you want good care.

I was here in day surgery this morning for a rotator cuff, bone shaving and ac joint surgery. As a result of an accident with a “migrant” hitting me head on doing 60 then disappearing off the map! My nurses were wonderful EVERY LAST ONE! I felt valued. I felt calmed by their demeanor and ridiculous showing of empathy! My wholehearted TY to Nelda the vein whisperer! Julie you are so sweet never change! Alyssa You are amazing! There were many more and I deeply regretted not getting more names! The building is beautiful and looks as they put a lot of work into it! I intend to make sturdy my hospital of choice in the future!

My doctor ordered a few cat scans several weeks ago.
( I had cancer). No one has called from scheduling department within the hospital. I have contacted the ordering physician's office and no response from them either. It sucks when you have an awesome doctor but her office staff sucks at their job of communicating with the patient(s). This may be the reason why I need to find another Oncologist.

I was taken by ambulance to Sturdy Memorial Hospital on Tuesday at 7 AM, and from the moment I arrived, the lack of care and compassion was shocking. I was extremely unwell—vomiting and groaning in pain—yet the front desk staff were rude, dismissive, and showed no concern for my condition.

Despite my obvious distress, I watched as multiple patients who arrived after me were taken in before me—all of whom were white. Even my 11-year-old son noticed the stark difference in treatment and how the staff’s attitude toward Black patients was noticeably different. It was disheartening and infuriating to experience such blatant disregard for my well-being.

No one should ever feel that their race affects the quality of their medical care, yet that was exactly what I experienced at Sturdy Memorial. This hospital is in serious need of diversity training and accountability. If I were ever in a life-threatening situation again, I would rather take my chances elsewhere than return to this hospital. This was, without a doubt, the worst hospital experience of my life.

If I had an option of giving no star l could. I went to the emergency with a discharge 5 months pregnant, I was sent home as they said everything was fine. I went for a follow up appointment the next day. l was so uncomfortable but again I was sent me home. After a few minutes I went into labor my baby was alive and died at the hospital. My baby is dead because you guys didn’t do your job. No one checked my uterus when I told both doctors that I had a discharge. my baby would be alive if you guys did your job.

Sturdy is the dirtiest hospital. They are the worst for customer care. After sitting in the ER. was told crisis is available 24/7 and they are not. I have been here since 2 a.m. this morning and nothing. No has come in they left me alone in a room that was so dirty. If I could post the pictures I have of stains on the wall dust dirt I would post them if I could. Gross if I could post the pictures of the dirt and dust I would. They have actually had people die in the waiting room to be seen. Stay away!! It's now 8:03 Still nothing no word from anyone. 9 a m. NO ONE HAS COME IN TO EVEN CHECK IF I AM DEAD OR ALIVE!!!.

I had left a bad review but I was on a ton of meds and was probably not in a good mood, my apologies to Maima for being a difficult patient.
I had a very positive experience at Sturdy and they honestly saved my undeserving ass as I was admitted during a full psychotic overdose. I have absolutely zero recollection of what happened and when I finally came to I was taken care of very well and usually with a friendly smile.
I love my doctors here and after that experience I also love the nurses. ✌️ and ❤️

I have utilized Sturdy Memorial Hospital's services for various health concerns, including surgery and cancer treatment. I am deeply grateful for the exceptional care provided by the doctors and nurses who have treated me. The medical staff at this hospital are truly phenomenal. I have consistently received outstanding treatment, and their dedication to patient care is evident in their attentive and compassionate approach. They consistently ensure that me as a patient feel at ease, comfortable, and well informed about their condition, regularly checking in on me to monitor my progress.
