Been waiting for my referral to a GI doctor since the 11th. The whole point of the appointment was to get a referral for a GI doctor. I just called, and they tell me there’s no note from the doctor for a referral. There’s always an issue with referrals at this place. I’ve been in a lot of stomach pain, and was told by the nurse, it’d be done within 2 weeks.

I’ve been going there since 2023, I’ve asked for referrals but never received any and I had an appointment cancelled but no one knows who cancelled it. My pharmacy has asked for a prescription renewal several times and they are still waiting.

I absolutely love this office. They are very professional very helpful. My prescriptions are already called in before I leave . I have never had to wait but 5-10 minutes to be called back and maybe 10-15 minutes to see the Dr. This office is a breath of fresh air as they meet all my medical concerns and listen when I talk.

Some employees (at the front desk) are really unprofessional. I called on behalf of my elderly client who went to see the doctor and was told that the doctor was not in her insurance coverage network. She called me panicking since I was the one that referred her to this practice.

I called the Insurance carrier and was able to verify that the Dr Abney was in the network. I then called the office to clarify that the doctor was in the Network.I attempted to explain that I was the client representative (not the insurance representative) and that I was attempting to help her because she reached out to me panicking because she needed to see the doctor.

Well the person I spoke to on the phone, was so rude to me. She stated after I explain on who’s behalf I was calling on “we have wasted enough time with her” “we are about to go to lunch” When I attempted to tell her to let me get a word in edgewise she said “I don’t have any more time to waste on this matter, the doctor is not going to be able to see her today, she will have to reschedule”.

When I asked to speak to the office manager, she said she was the manager. I asked her name and she said it was Alexandra. She hung up on me. When I attempted to call back and asked the name of the office manager, because I didn’t believe and office manager would speak to someone that way. I told the person that answered the phone this time that, I wanted to lodge a complaint, she also commence to hang up again. So the whole front desk needs retraining!

Wow! Who hires these people? They don’t have to worry about me referring any of my other clients to this practice.

My client went back to the doctor’s office today and she called me once again because she did not understand why she was been charged and the doctor was in her network. I asked to speak to someone from the front office to get a handle on what was wrong. I spoke to “Hailey”.

I have to give praises to Hailey at the front desk. She is truly what a “customer focus” medical personnel should be. She was polite, took the time to explain the issue, and was very understanding. She seem to understand that the patient was elderly and might not understand exactly why she was been asked to make a larger payment than expected. She was willing to get on the phone with me explain the issue (took less than 5 minutes) She explained that the patient is the most important one in this scenario. She should be the office manager!

This is how you are suppose to treat your patients/customers. Without customers, you would not have a business.

Please note I will be calling and sharing my feedback with a doctor in the practice. Remember from my review about, I referred my elderly client to this practice.I feel a sense of guilt that I referred her to this practice.

I have heard from clients that often the behavior from the front office is so unpleasant that patients discontinue patronizing the practice. The practitioner (doctor) meanwhile is not aware of how the front desk treats their patients. Shameful! Please be aware of who you hire! Some people should not be customer facing (you know who you are).

I love this doctors office. I always enjoy speaking to the front receptionist before I see the nurses and the nurses are always always on their game. Sometimes I see a doctor sometimes I see a nurse practitioner. It just depends on why I’m there for if I’m just there for refills and nurse practitioner will come in if I’m there and request to see a doctor. I certainly will be given one. They are accurate they’re fast and they’re very caring. I’ve had zero problems from day one and it seems to me that the people that are having an issue with this office are the ones that want to make a doctors appointment complicated.? My father goes here. I trust this office with his care as well as mine and I would never leave, and I will suggest anyone looking for a general practitioner needs to visit the Summit group.

After Using this Establishment for 1 year and 4 months I only once seen the same care giver twice. I have always had to wait a long time to be seen. Last week I was held for 1 hour and 45 minuets and had an other engagement to be at so I had no choice to leave and told the front desk on my way out. I received a e-mail today that they will not see me any more to find another DR.
Very Lame establishment.

STAY AWAY at all costs!

1. I have been attending here for 5.5 years, and have seen multiple fights break out with staff and patients.
2. The medical staff is rude to patients.
3. The medical staff is poorly educated and engage in psuedoscience.
4. If you or a loved one attend here or are interested in going here, I highly highly recommend that you STAY AWAY. You will receive poor medical care and will be better off going anywhere else in town.

I have been seeing Dr. Abney, Dr. Bevel & Dr. Byrd for almost 2 years now. My Momma was also one of their patients. She passed away last July from cancer that we found out she had in February when she fell and broke her hip. The cancer Dr said she had a 75 % chance of beating the cancer she had but when I talked to Dr Abney & Dr Bevel, they both told me the truth of how serious Momma's situation was. While I was at the hospital sitting with her day and night, I found out that I had lung cancer. Completely different cancer than my Momma had. All three doctors were very kind, very truthful, and took great care of my Momma before she passed away and have been taking great care of me as well.
Today I saw a new Dr who is in the practice now and he was really good. Any time I saw a CRNP it was Sam and I just loved her to death. Alexandra, Chelsey, and the three doctors are the only ones who are still in the office since I started seeing this group. Yes, there has been a big turnover with the rest of the office staff since they moved to their new office but I have never had a problem with any of them.
I have several family members that I referred to them and we all love this group of doctors.
