I went in to the ER on Oct 23, 2024 non weight-bearing on my left foot after a fall down stairs. I was seen quickly, but there was also a โ€œcode grayโ€ in the ER and it seemed all staff was distracted. I mentioned that when I fell I landed on my toes and my foot hurt, but they seemed more focused on my ankle. After 3 x-rays focusing on my ankle, they sent me home with crutches and an ankle splint and told me several times there was nothing broken. Because of that misdiagnosis, it was a month later I had surgery to repair all my broken, displaced metatarsals, and small bones in my foot. I also broke the tibia in my ankle. 10 breaks! I understand that itโ€™s tough sometimes to see foot breaks on X-rays, but they seemed more focused on my ankle and the โ€œcode grayโ€ rather than my foot - Iโ€™ve been in excruciating pain and itโ€™s has been unnecessarily long in healing.

After an ER visit, my father was admitted to the hospital overnight, which turned into a few days. We had some absolutely, wonderful nurses and unfortunately a few who just did not have as much patience. But overall the care was wonderful. The Holiday doctor was interesting, but the regular doctor we got after was outstanding she was exceptionally patient in explaining and answering all our questions.

Starting from my arrival experience the registration and security up front are extremely kind and friendly, I arrived early hours of the morning for help and even with it being 2am the registration and security had kind smiles and helped me. The transportation Jonathan I think his name was, was super friendly. They took me to a room and everything was extremely clean and wonderful the nurses and drs very friendly. This hospital deserves 10 stars! Thank you Auburn faith

My father was recently in ICU with COVID. For 2 weeks I watched the ICU staff work tirelessly doing everything they possibly could to help him. When we were emotional they too were emotional. Unfortunately my father was too sick and passed away. But Im sure the staff doesn't hear it enough but from the bottom of my heart thank you each and every one of you. You guys are angels and aren't appreciated enough.

Dr Shank was dismissive, rude and completely unhelpful. I was brought in by ambulance for severe abdominal pain, vomiting blood and passing out at home. He came in initially and told me there was absolutely nothing he could do for me and to follow up with a specialist. My BP was 220/160, heart rate 145 and pain 10/10. He refused to give me any medication whatsoever to help with any of my symptoms and after 2 hours of sitting there pushing the call button for any nurse to acknowledge me, I was finally told by the nurse to go to sutter Roseville for better care and sent home. No update from the doctor about plan of care, lab results, nothing. I asked to speak to the nursing supervisor or any other physician and no one ever came back. I am disgusted with the way I was treated here. They always send out surveys for patients to complete and what difference does it ever make? The healthcare system is complete trash and patients are treated worse than trash.

I was taken in by an ambulance in excruciating pain, then rolled into the waiting room because it was too busy! My IV was incorrectly shoved in me as well, given a single dose of ibuprofen which did nothing, I waited for a hour and a half in so much pain! When I requested for more pain medication, I was denied the request in the waiting room. When I finally get pulled in, it takes another 30 minutes of my screams of pain for a doctor to finally come in and talk to me (the doctor was just walking by my room and standing around not helping me!) The โ€œnewโ€ nurse clearly had something better to do, because when I was still in unbearable pain without help, she was tending to the man next to me with simple foot soreness! Absolutely awful service, if you want to get true help go to the Sacramento hospital. Much better service.

My dad was taken here due to a blood infection a a wound on his rear end. I was with him for the first 4 days and during this time he was getting more and more forgetful and delusional. He was imagining people coming into his room trying to get into his bed as well as someone coming in and having breakfast with him. The first day he was there Katherine Ferrel the Palliative care RN, Clinical Lead was speaking with him when I got there and had us fill out paperwork giving me power of attorney due to his diminishing capacity caused by his illnesses. I was with him for the first 4 days and during this time I was in contact with everyone involved with his care and we were trying to find a suitable care home for him to go to. I then left to have witnesses sign the paperwork and get some new clothes. There was to be no major decisions made about his care while I was gone. I even spoke to his nurse the next morning before I left my house to check on him and clearify that no major decisions be made without me. While on my way back to the hospital I'd missed a call from Sutter. I called back immediately and was told that my dad had been transferred to some crappie care home by his Case manager Wendy who we've never met and had not been involved with his care at all the past 4 days. She had him sign discharge paperwork and they rushed him out of there not even allowing him to take his medications, clothes or even his walker. How can a Hospital called Auburn Faith treat someone in such a way. I tried to contact Katherine about what had happened but she didn't answer and never returned my call. When I contacted Wendy she was very dismissive and said my dad was coherent and able to make his own decisions and said there was no power of attorney on file. If you have loved ones that can't or shouldn't be making decisions on there own please be sure to go there prepared with a power of attorney in hand so this doesn't happen to them.
