My insurance provider screwed up and gave me a different doctor this year and I didn't realize it until I needed a test done! I had my previous doctor for about 12 years! I was not happy, but needed the test so I went to Dr. Nguyen prepared to dislike him.
I left that appointment with a completely different mindset. Dr. Nguyen was focused and informative. He checked all the info on my chart but when he spoke, he spoke to me, not at me!! He had very simple and encouraging things to share about ways I could improve my strength, balance and overall wellbeing that didn't include medications. He was encouraging and enthusiastic. I am very glad he is my new doctor!

Dr. Nguyen has been my doctor for a few years now, and I followed him from UC Davis to Sutter. I am extremely happy with him. Excellent Doctor and shows concern. I am also happy with the staff in the office very polite and professional, both at the desk and the nurses.

First time Sutter patient with Dr Nguyen after 25 years with Kaiser. The visit surpassed my expectations. Everyone thoughtful, listened carefully, and provided excellent care. Outstanding Doc! He's so down to earth and pleasant to talk to I almost forget I'm there for an appointment. The same can be said for the staff. Such pleasant folks. I couldn't be happier.

He was not polite and said things like “That’s what they all say” which made me feel that he was lumping me in with some group of people or making some assumptions about me based on something that he perceived about me.
Did not seem knowledgeable. When I asked him what a number on my blood results meant he replied, “I don’t really know. But that’s high.” Will not see him again.
