Department has a monetary self-interest in prioritizing undervaccination to increase cases in the state, largely responsible for the 2025 measles outbreak in West Texas. Why are people so quick to think people employed by the government are doing anything for the sake of your personal best interests?

Ordered a birth certificate and like many others have not received anything even though it says the order status is "complete". Called the number that is provided on their website, however these calls are sent through a call center, so the people there have no information or power to do anything, the only thing they can do is send a request.

So the call center sends a request for an email to be sent out, however they can give me no time frame on when that will be responded to. So I wait for a MONTH for a SINGLE email to be sent to me so that I can start the process of having another birth certificate sent to me and still have received nothing.

I call back and request further information from the call center operator on how I can get in contact with the actual office that does this. They give me the information and I have now sent a message to their office. This method still seems like it will be hit or miss on whether or not I get any kind of communication back from the people responsible for doing this.

Personally, I don't believe that ANY birth certificate was sent out in the first place and they only marked it as "completed" to avoid showing any kind of incompetency on their end.

This office uses a call center to deflect and avoid any kind of accountability on their end and require you to jump through hoops in order to contact them so they don't have to deal with you.

If they would just communicate back with me and be transparent about their mistake, that would go a long way. However, they've chosen not to do that.

In summary: Lazy, incompetent and no integrity.

The in-person vitals records services are very nice and friendly. It is easy to get a certificate or whatever record you need there. Online ordering was going to be too slow for the deadline I needed, so I went in person to this office and was glad that I did. They helped me and I was on my way in 10-15 minutes!

Ordered a birth certificate through the website on 3/23. Website states the order was completed on 4/19. It is now 4/29 and I still have not received it. While they cannot control USPS mailing times, when asked how long I need to wait before asking if they can re-issue me another copy, and the agent on the phone "didn't know, and didn't have anyone else to ask", and told me to "just keep calling back". Most likely going to do a chargeback for services not delivered and just go get it in person.

I have been dealing for 3 years to fix my birth certificate with this department and case worker is Dawn Martin. She is very irresponsible and has no clue what's going with my case. I paid ton of money to fix this and now she tells there is stupid hold up and that I will get a letter in the mail how to clear the hold up. Pathetic and unprofessional.

I am brand new to Texas. I haven’t been on public assistance in about 10 years. I relocated to TX to be closer to family that migrated here. When I arrived my employer saw it as the perfect opportunity to fire me as Texas is an at will state. No obvious reason for termination. I only know the two people I moved here. No support outside of that. Applying for assistance has been by far the worst experience of my existence. Everyone is so lackadaisical about helping you. Took 3 months to finally be approved for any assistance and the two months that I did receive it, I’ve had to reapply due to not doing something because there’s a disconnect between the mail services and any office that sends out the letters. Forget about the online documents. They only notify you when your benefits aren’t being received any longer. To start this entire program and process all over again. Talking to anyone is disheartening. There’s no empathy for anything you’re going through. Stressed looking for employment while having to come back and work something you thought has already been figured out. I’m tired. I’m doing all the things asked of me and yet I’m still going in circles. TX needs to do better. I’m doing everything they ask of me yet every month I’m surprised by another surprise denial or stop of benefits.

This process is absolutely ridiculous. I’m doing a last name change for my twins, paid expedited, even their own website says order is completed and mailed out. But when I call, they say it’s still being processed. This has been going on for over a month now. Nobody can give me a real answer as to why!!

I put in a order for a Certified Copy of AOP in September 2023, sent everything needed, to speed up my 6-8 week wait. Whosoever does processing has sent some information in a letter requesting something about what I ordered to the wrong address. Attention to detail when dealing with any entity's information is a must have in this type business. Thankfully I called in to find that out on December 2023, representative was very helpful and gave me her word she expeditiously put my order back in, to come to the address on the application. The one with the checked box. Today a Month later I called to see when I would receive paperwork I requested, and again I worked with a great agent that was very helpful in doing the same thing the first agent claimed to do. I am full of patient energy, but some things are just not aligning with my patience. Like what I pay for I want, I paid for a Certified Copy of AOP application and paid extra for Overnight Return Mail. Why In the world would I be receiving anything other than what I requested to the wrong address. I'm noticing it a-lot More than usual dealing with Government entities they really think they run this world! Well I'm here to tell you, you don't, you just work here and not doing your job is not apart of the job details. My Government entity I Own.. For I Am A Breathing Flesh and Blood Angel... Give me what I paid for and nothing less.. 🪬🧿🪬Respectfully🪬🧿🪬 UCC-1-308
