If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Christina, the psychiatrist was nice, but Emily, the therapist was next to worthless as far as helping! She is very soft-spoken which AT FIRST came off as nice and sweet, but really I think she is probably just lazy and under-qualified. Plus, I just felt a little bit of a strange vibe from her. I'm not saying this stuff to be mean. I'm saying this because I have a specific example to back it up and want to save others from coming here... When I asked about a specific type of therapy (EMDR) that she said she does that I really wanted to utilize with her, she said that "we'll have PLENTY of time and will get to that later." For some reason, though, it gave me kind of a bad feeling when she said that. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, though because I wanted to remain optimistic; so unfortunately, I continued to see her with the hope that she would become more helpful eventually, but she NEVER even did that specific type of therapy with me that I really needed! In hindsight, I wish I would have trusted my gut feeling because it was pretty much a complete waste of time with her! Then she even had the audacity to list several different techniques that she "supposedly" attempted with me, in my medical record! I say that because I knew for sure when I read the different techniques that she listed, that she never did them with me! Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. I wish I would have read all of the other reviews before coming to this place!! 😞

My therapist Alex and my psychiatrist Christina are really trying to help me and it's not just Healthcare and Medicine they helped me get a case manager to help with everyday things like making my home handicap accessible help with utilities and even home repairs. Alex really listens and he doesn't just listen alone when you need something he takes it into action, he has done that for me and gained my trust. Christina is very patient and has experience and that's important for me because I'm very slow to open up and I have allergies to certain medications and some particular health issues all which she understands. In my opinion some doctors tend to be biased about their treatments but she's very knowledgeable about medicine she understands that everyone is different and medication reacts different to everyone I was hurt by a medication that will affect me for the rest of my life so this means a lot to me and she understands that.

Just find somewhere else. Seriously. This place is GARBAGE. Okay well that's not entirely true. My therapist rocks. HOWEVER, the rest is garbage. I waited about 11 weeks for my psychiatry appointment, understandable, I get it. The week of my appt finally comes. I call to confirm date and time. All good. Sitting there day of appt waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Finally about 15 minutes AFTER my appt I call again. They canceled my appt WITH NO NOTICE, nobody called to let me know, AND they didn't let me know when they rescheduled me for UNTIL I CALLED THEM!! and now they want me to wait a WHOLE EXTRA MONTH?! man this place is just absolute garbage. The worst. Try Nord Center. Save yourselves.

The staff here is great! They are all so kind and helpful. Everytime I see Amelia I look forward to it. She is compassionate and understanding. She has helped me to improve my mental health. I look forward to seeing Joel, Jesse, and Kim every month to in the pharmacy because they are also so kind and helpful. They answer all my questions and are patient with me. I usually don't write reviews but I felt they needed to be recognized since they have all helped me to live a better life. Thank you guys so much!

I called in October to make a new patient appointment. The first they had was December 21. December 21 came, I called the morning of to confirm because I hadn't had a reminder. They confirmed the virtual appointment for that afternoon. Time came and went, no call. I called and was transferred several time, waited on hold for 35 minutes only to be told the provider was no longer with the company and the appointment should have been cancelled? No answer for why i was told that same morning the appointment was good to go. But I could have another appointment in person on Jan15. I received a reminder call last week. I showed up today, no one has any idea what's going on. Waited for 10 or so minutes, to find out the appointment was double booked. They claim they cancelled via voicemail, and I could have another appointment in February. Checked my phone, no call other than the reminder last week. Definitely no voicemail. Poor organization. I'm very dissapointed in the months wasted waiting and time chasing people down. And they say we're the crazy ones!! No wonder.

The nurse actually blocked me because I said I didn’t want to go another month without an antidepressant that I reached out to them about. If I have to go through a see-you-next-Tuesday to talk to a doctor you can guess this place will never see me again.

My Partner and his family have used Center for Families and Children for several years. I am grateful for the psychiatric, psychological and therapeutic care they have provided, thanks to some dedicated professionals who have been there for several years. Thank you!

Lately however, I am beginning to see a lot of turnover in staff there and some who are coming in the door who are very newly out of school. Especially ones who are working in therapy. They either lack the ability or experience to help clients get to the bottom of their issues and resolve them or lack the motivation or don't understand the seriousness of their profession and the impact they have or can have on their clients.

They can help educate their Clients and Families like Dr Ventinella and Ken Eckstein did with us years ago and helped direct us to organizations like NAMI where we learned and found support from families with similar experiences.

They helped us to understand the importance of having someone within the family or a good friend to advocate for a a person with mental illness, especially when they cannot advocate for themselves. My Partner's Uncle Bill Cramer a State professional within the mental health community confirmed this and also taught us Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Therapists and Case Managers can play an important role in the life of someone with mental illness, but none more important than an educated Advocate involved in the life of a person with mental illness.

I am hoping this can help some of the management within Circle Health - CFC and also others with mental illness and their families.
