I had a deeply disappointing experience with The Right Choice Counseling Service, Inc. My visit to them for a domestic violence assessment left me feeling frustrated and skeptical of their practices.

Firstly, they had me spend over an hour filling out extensive paperwork about my life history, which ultimately seemed to serve no purpose. The main focus of the assessment was a brief, generic interview where I was asked ‘yes’ or ‘no’ questions with no follow-up to understand the context of my responses. This lack of in-depth evaluation left me concerned about the legitimacy of their assessments.

The initial recommendation was 26 weeks of domestic violence treatment, based on my answers to these questions. When I attempted to provide more context for my responses, it felt like my concerns fell on deaf ears. The assessor, Kent Loveless, merely promised to “re-evaluate” my case without giving it a proper review.

Shockingly, the recommendation was later reduced to an 8-hour anger management class. However, I discovered that The Right Choice Counseling Service, Inc. conveniently offered this class as well, which led me to question whether their intentions were genuinely in my best interest or simply geared towards extracting more money from me.

My experience in the 8-hour anger management class was equally disappointing. The facilitator didn’t seem to comprehend the reasons for my presence, and I found myself in a state of confusion. I was compelled to complete the class to clear my name from unwarranted charges.

In summary, The Right Choice Counseling Service, Inc. failed to provide the honest, thorough feedback and assessment I expected. It felt as if they were more interested in creating opportunities to generate revenue than genuinely assisting their clients. This experience left me disillusioned and dissatisfied.

This is the only place I recommend when considering who to trust and who will take care of you in Kitsap County. The entire staff is so friendly, pleasant and understanding. They're not their to belittle you but are their to genuinely help you however they can.

Mark is a terrific individual, extremly bright and down to earth. He listens and his experience working with people really shows when you have a conversation with him.

Janice is awesome. She is the face you want to see when walking into a place like this. She quickly makes you feel welcome and at home. She's funny and wants what is best for you. She doesn't sugar coat and I appreciate that.

I know a client that was attending here.
And had witnessed numerous times where they tried calling with the agency not answering or never returning calls.
They refused service after abtaining information of what insurance they had.
I would not recommend this agancy to anyone who is really trying in their recovery.
