While many of the therapists, mine included would get five stars off the charts, the actual business of Thriveworks is horrible. They put you in a position to discuss any billing issues directly with your therapist instead of them handling. What an incredible model, to put people struggling with mental health challenges in money conversations with their therapist. I paid an invoice almost 9 months ago now that I realized after had been coded incorrectly and I should have been refunded partially for the difference. For 9 months I have tried to receive this refund. Beyond that, I had another appointment that was incorrectly coded and was charging me more than what my normal appointment should be. I did not pay that invoice and they've told me they've been trying to correct it for 6 months. I have contacted support and their billing team upwards of 30 times now and just received a notification that they tried to charge an old card I had on file and had taken off due to these horrible business practices. I have never been so disappointed with the customer service and billing of any company let alone a mental health provider. Avoid them at all costs and pray your amazing therapist moves on from this company.

Had a terrible experience with Thriveworks. Was not told the therapist I was seeing wasn't licensed/still in training until I met with her. I decided to keep an open mind and continue with the session. She was incredibly awkward, ended the session 15 minutes early, and I left feeling worse than when I started. I had been to "real" therapy before, this was not okay or standard. They refunded my membership when I complained and never charged me for the session. I didn't think anything of it, because they had given me a refund, I assumed since the session was unprofessional and inadequate they would not charge me. 6 months later I get a bill for the session, customer service was no help. I am now stuck paying a $100+ bill for services not fully rendered. This is a company the takes advantage of those who need help most. Stay away and find an accredited practice.

Heather Chateauneuf is a fantastic therapist. She has worked with many of my students in the past. I have seen Heather provide extraordinary support and care to students in mental health crisis. She is reliable and compassionate. She gives her undivided attention and effort to each and every client. She is able to connect with a wide range of different people in order to build the relationship and trust needed to do this work. We joke all of the time how I wish she never worked at my school because I would have loved to have her as a therapist for myself!!!
