Tri State Psychotherapy did reach out to me after posting this review and resolved the issue with understanding. I believe there are other therapists within the group that are worth exploring.

Original review:
I saw Rakell Mason for a few sessions, disappointed with the lack of communication and empathy. Policies were unclear, and when I tried to resolve an issue, I was met with rigidity instead of understanding. A therapist should be compassionate and flexible, but that was not my experience here.

Booked a 15 minute virtual consultation with Rakell Mason a week in advance, received multiple confirmation emails, only for Rakell to pull a no-show. After divulging sensitive personal information to Rakell to give her context behind me seeking out therapy, I feel as though my privacy has been violated. While Tri State Psychotherapy Group tried to make it right by recommending a different therapist, I am ultimately very uncomfortable working with anyone within that group, which is unfortunate given there are probably many qualified clinicians that are a part of this group.

Tri state psychotherapy group is incredible! I have had such a life changing experience and would recommend to anyone seeking mental health counseling, regardless of age or diagnosis. The therapy is truly tailored to the individual, which has provided an enormous period of growth in my life. I can’t thank this group enough for the support and professionalism I have experienced!!!
