Today's experience was much better than my first few experiences here. They were quick to help, were kind to me and my son, were on time with my appointment, and the nurse who did my pregnancy test was wonderful and friendly.

She mentioned ultra sound schedules are backed up pretty far so, just hoping for the best.

Initial first impression
I called a year ago for a pregnancy to schedule an appointment. The representative was extremely rude to me and made me basically beg her over the phone for an appointment for my pregnancy. Like a gatekeeper almost trying to keep me from being able to make an appointment. Over the phone she was rude and unhelpful and her communication callous.

I did have another experience trying to make an appointment here after this... I went in person trying to schedule because I couldn't get a hold of anyone over the phone and broke down crying because the one scheduling lady was insisting I was not ever a patient there. Total gaslighting, because yes, I was.

She found my account finally but she was confused because she made me 2 separate accounts during my first calls to the office (when i was almost denied appointments the first time). I've never in all my life been treated so terribly by an appointment front desk person. Ever.

Jocelyn was and is a saving grace and has always been kind and helpful. She's nice professional and helpful over the phone and in person.

Things to note:
1.) If you tell them you're pregnant you need like 3 appointments before actually having an appointment to see and care for your child. One appointment to take a pregnancy test at their facility to confirm you're pregnant. Then an appointment with a care coordinator. Strangest thing I've experienced in trying to make a women's health appointment with all the separate appointments.

2.) They don't have you see a doctor. Only midwives or nurses.

3.) The phone tree will only route you in circles never to get an actual answer from the clinic. You'll wait on hold for 10 mins then the phone menu message Will come up again and have you click all the same options and not get the option for a call back.

4.) All that was suggested to me after my miscarriage was that I get a bunch of appointments to get blood taken over and over again and then to get on birth control. The provider canceled appointments on me last minute a couple of times too which was extremely inconvenient.

5.) Nurses Wearing pro-Choice pins at a place that is supposed to bring pregnancies to term 👎

If I could give this “doctor” zero stars I would! What a JOKE Katherine Kelly is! One day before I am getting induced and she can’t even give me the time to come in and do her job! I came for my last appointment and stress test and they leave me in the room for 35 min doing a stress test which really shouldn’t have taken more than 20 min then the assistant says you’re good to go and I asked to see the doctor and she said I’ll ask her but she said you can just go home. Didn’t get checked at all! What a waste of time and to treat a first time expecting mother that way is disgusting. I highly suggest not to waste your time! Katherine Kelly is an awful OBGYN if you can even call her that!!!

I’m seeing far too many bad reviews, so I’d definitely like to share my experience.
I just moved to Oceanside from Wyoming, where there are only 2 or 3 obgyns to choose from. So I’ve definitely been nervous about finding one here, and not having enough info on whether or not I chose the right one.
I went and got my glucose test done today, and literally from the second I walked in, I was greeted by the super friendly receptionists. Immediately got in, and had a really nice nurse take my blood. After my two hour glucose screening, I met with the patient coordinator( I think that’s what she’s called), who makes you feel totally comfortable and at home. I have yet to meet with any midwives, as today was my first time there. But I’m excited to meet everyone I’ll be seen by during my pregnancy. So far, everyone is amazing, super friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. I’m super happy I picked this place and am excited for future appointments!!!

I called this office because I’m new to the area and need a new OBGYN. When the receptionist answered the phone, she immediately asked if I was pregnant and when I responded “no” she (very rudely) said “then why are you calling us?”. If you only see pregnant patients, please do not state on your website that you do all women’s health services and or at least be a little more polite when speaking to potential patients. I understand needing to send me to a different department (for a well women’s exam) but there is no need to be rude.

Very disappointed with the general service they provide, you will not be seen by doctors only nurses that most of the time does not know what to give you for a basic cold. Misinformation at all times and if you disagree you will receive bad attitudes and sassy comments. The place is beautiful and has all the capacity to be excellent but definitely they need to train their crew to provide a decent service. Few people are nice but couple people is not enough for an institution to shine.

Terrible service, I used to have bad experience with it in the past, But I decided to go back to them again after they changed the name. I think maybe the service improved but still not. They called me on 19th of November for scheduling she said your appointment it is ganna be Wednesday. So
I have to see the ob today, my appointment today, I called them before going to make sure it's today and they said yes .When I went to clinic the lady in front said that it is not today. I told her I just called in the morning and you say yes it is today and I showed her the number I called she said that not our number REALLY!! Then she said that number for all truecare who pick up the phone. She end with we are sorry! REALLY!! Not even try to make me wait With knowledge I told them I have bad symptoms and I need to see ob soon to give me some medicine.
Don't recommend it to go there because you will stay with pain over the week and will change your appointment like what happened with me

This place has gone far out their way to help my wife so far during her pregnancy. They have been very kind to her. And I am very grateful. When insurance didn't want to pay they took care it and they took care of it very quickly. But I do have a complaint. Since the first moment I walked into this clinic with my wife it has been made very clear to me that men are not welcome here. Only tolerated. Since the first day they didn't want me in the appointment with my wife. When my wife requested I be present they told her I could only be present if she would be able to talk freely. Now today they asked me to not be present at all. I understand some men can be controlling towards their spouse. And even abusive. But that man is not me. This is an issue for me and my wife as she has severe social anxiety and cant even drive because of it. Im basically my wifes service dog or at least thats the role I play for her. This is just a small part of our journey that we have always taken together side by side. And this clinic has separated us during this journey.

I was recently diagnosed with something that I didn’t think was possible and the Internet was scary! I had so many questions and was getting no answers from anyone. I have spoken to the women’s health coordinator only twice and she was absolutely amazing answered all of my questions and made me feel so comfortable.
