I cannot speak to the mind institute as a whole, but only camp MIND. my 8yr old with ASD was enrolled in camp, however he wasn't able to complete it. We had to take him home before the first hour ended on day 1. I don't fault the camp for this it happens. But I contacted them asking for a partial refund of the $200 dollars I had payed to put towards something more suited for my son and was told no. When I asked about why nothing I had signed stated this, I was told to wait 1-2 weeks while the refund policy was looked over. I contacted them after two weeks and silence: I have now written two emails since and no response. The cost was $200 for 4 days. My son was there for 1hr. I'm blown away by the unprofessionalism of such a well known organization.

I have been going to Physical and Occasional Therapies at this Point West facility since it first opened a few years ago. The Therapist's and Front Office Staff are all friendly and compassionate people. I have had quite a few post-op hand therapy, post-accident neck and shoulder therapy, low back therapy and even ankle therapy. I have come out of each of them with great results!
The only reason I did not give them 5 stars ✨ is because it is often difficult to get follow up visits scheduled in a timely manner.

Our son just finished the second part of the autism study. He started when he was 2 and we had the pleasure of returning for the middle years. I will just say that everyone who works here and volunteers are amazing, kind, educated individuals. A lot of time, effort, and money goes into ensuring we are comfortable. The information we have received has been life changing. Our son loved his time visiting and working with everyone. So grateful and honored to be able to work towards more understanding of autism. I highly recommend this place! Keep up the good work and great research.

I went there after genetic testing showed that I had NF1 ( Neurofibromatosis 1). I was so relieved to have a diagnosis to a lifetime of health problems, which was finally explained.
The Doctor immediately told me that I don't have any symptoms without even looking at my chart. Then she couldn't get me out of the office fast enough. I'm so disappointed with the treatment I received. I am 48, and need help. I can only say for those planning on going to this place is to be very careful. And be weary of any Doctor that doesn't have the time to review your case history.

Just another money making business geared towards desperate parents looking for help. I took my toddler for evaluation of ASD. Doctor Steinfeld was great!! Very knowledgeable, compassionate, and answered our questions thoroughly. She recommended early start Denver model. We have been on the wait list for over a year now!!! We also got a bill of $1800 for 1.5 hour appointment, out of which $900 was for the use of the mind institute. We were told that it’s part of the university and considered inpatient. Totally not true!! IT WAS AN OUTPATIENT APPOINTMENT!! We were not given any heads up by the scheduling staff. We also saw Dr. Dufek in the same building but didn’t get charged for the building fee. Then why for Dr. Steinfeld’s appt!! Both visits were useless!!

Update: Per Jen at communications recommendation, i emailed and completed online contact form to get in touch with patients relations department but it has been a month and NO response. However, i did receive a call from billing department staff correcting me that the appt with Dr. Steinfeld was not inpatient but it has hospital stay component!! Lol... But the bill clearly says admit date and discharge date which makes it obvious that it was billed to insurance as inpatient. Just a suggestion to Jen at communication department, next time please recommend to contact a department with actual competent staff.

I had an excellent experience at the UC Davis Orthopedic Center Point West location with Physician Assistant Steven Perinovic. He thoroughly reviewed my medical history, took time to explain my osteoarthritis in both knees, and clearly discussed the multiple treatment options available. We ultimately proceeded with injections, and Steven was highly skilled and professional throughout the process — I felt very well cared for. The clinic itself is beautiful, and the entire staff is professional, friendly, and compassionate. I highly recommend Steven Perinovic and the UC Davis Orthopedic team for anyone seeking expert orthopedic care.

I called 3 days beforehand & talked of specific details of what I needed in a mobility cart. I took a community transit bus 100 miles 2 1/2 hours to get there. I need an off-road wheelchair. I made it perfectly clear I didn’t want or need a Walmart, or grocery store type mobility cart. 20 people wanted to use the bus that day and were denied because I had to make my appointment to Sacramento. I was the sole rider. When I got there, they told me all they could get me is a grocery store type cart. The appointment lasted 10 minutes. It wasn’t so much that I was disappointed as 20 seniors were cheated out of a ride to town in our community bus so I can make my appointment. It was all for nothing.
