On Sunday January 12, 2025 my mom was sent over to UC Davis from Marshall Hospital due to an orbital fracture and a fractured nose . When I arrived all they had given her was Tylenol for the pain and barely slept due to them not giving her a pillow I asked for said pillow and they advised me that they were out .

Dr’s told me that in the Morning she would be admitted into a room and she would get an Echo scan of her heart .. that never happened . The room situation also never happened and we go wheeled into the hallway instead .

My mom was extremely upset and wanted to be let go and mind you we had already been waiting 14 hours and nothing happened. Nobody even came to check up on us one of the nurses that had nothing to do with her area was willing to help and I asked if there was anyway my mom can be let go because we were done waiting and we would rather get treated from San Jose And she disclosed that she would look into it as soon as possible. I tried talking to the trauma nurses from day and one of the nurses was extremely rude and close. The door on me told me that they were gonna tend to a new patient that was coming in and somebody would probably help me later.

Come to find out that patient was up getting a room away . I asked where the bathroom was because my mom needed to go to the graven. Nurse barely helped me. She pointed me to the direction of the restroom, but then after that we were on our own.

The doctor that came to see my mom before we left was adamant about letting us go home. I told her well we haven’t been. Talk to you at all and she tried to reassure us that it was gonna be fine that she would rather have her be there. I said well I cannot wait until you guys are ready to treat my mom my mom’s in pain. They had her on oxygen and they unplugged it just to place her in the walkway.

One doctor came to check out her hand because since she had gotten there, she was complaining about the pain on her left pinky and it turns out that she has a fracture and they wanted to keep her to put a cast on it but I said no thank you we’re just gonna head home She was not too happy about that.

Not to mention there is no up keep with the restrooms so Disgusting when I took my mom in there was feces on the floor.

The main restrooms inside the building near the cafeteria were also trashed and had OC covers pee all over the floor toilets were not flushed. Counters were so dirty. I did not want to even use the restroom, but I had no other choice since all of them were In the same condition.

If you can avoid this hospital, please do not sit foot in there they are rude. They are racist and they pick and choose on how they treat people.

Excellent service and staff, I just finished a five day stay at Davis 6, the nurses and physicians are excellent. The doctors really push to get all the tests completed before your discharge, they also listen to your needs and will discharge you once you are stable. I will go out of my way to get to UCDMC if needed, I deserve excellence and appreciate great people and service.

This place is horrible, it’s a complete joke. Especially the emergency department. The staff are very rude to patients and your looking into waiting for roughly over 4 hours just to be seen for standard bloodwork before your even taken to the back.
My mother in law was transfer via ambulance due to a fainting (possible stroke) and fractured her face and even then already being in the back she waited 2.5 hours to be seen and told they wanted to repeat the blood work she had already gotten done at the previous hospital she was at.
Then she was told they would be keeping her overnight for observation and had to wait 4 additional hours for her to be admitted and transferred to a room where she was in for about another 4 hours before she got kicked out into the hallway because they where told “we have 60 patients ahead of you”. Am not sure what there issue is on why they can’t function in an organization and professional matter to treat there patients but they are horrible at it. They really need to reconsider their system

I've been sitting in the emergency room now for a couple of hours, FREEZING to death! DO NOT BE AS DUMB as me!!!

Wear the clothes you would choose to wear to go skiing. A Full sweat suit will work. A warm jacket with long pants and socks (shoes would be a + also). Also, don't use the restroom before you arrive, or you'll be sitting for hours, like me, waiting for the urine Gods to answer. This may be the coldest room I've been in since Hector was a pup.

I requested a blanket and was told none were allowed in the waiting room. I'm now watching another patient receive TWO blankets. NOT FAIR!!!

Why do you treat people like that?

Somebody's lying!!!

What is happening here, did donald trump sneek in and cause this decriminalization

😭

Sad to witness 😞 such lack of concern. I've been here almost 3 hours with the place filling up.. looks like another all nighter.

Thanks donald.

Maybe I should slip into the restroom, remove the wrist bands, 🤯 pull the IV, direct pressure to stop 🚏 the blood flow and disappear 🫥. How many weeks do you think it will take them to realize a patient has disappeared? A week? A year? Didn't a patient disappear from here And the body 👁️ was found on a little used stair well. Seems I read that a while ago.

WHAT 😯!!! By constant complaining and pointing out another patient got a blanket, I was able to shame one of the nurses to provide me with a blanket. Now everyone in the waiting room is eyeing 👀 me. Doesn't hurt to shake 😜 the tree🌴 🌲.

Since I don't drive at night, I'll have to leave here in about 15 minutes. Nice, five hours wasted. At least I'll be warm when I die....
Wow!!
After explaining that I don't/can't drive at night, I told them I had to leave then to get home safely. They sent me to the front desk to remove the IV, apparently the most sanitized location in the hospital. The front desk then called the scan folks who decided they could squeeze me in. I explained that the scan would take time and I would be stuck, having to walk or hitchhike home. The four people collecting a paycheck standing around the front desk chitchatting and looking at the wall suggested I come back around 4-5am the next day. I did control my laughter. Then one of the employees, who like the others was doing nothing, said to another of the slackers, " if he was really sick 🤢 he'd stay". I should have asked that rude (I can't use the term employee in this case) person if she was going to give me a ride home Or maybe walk with me the almost 20 miles to my residence.

I'm going to treat my condition myself. Hot 🔥 packs. Cold ❄️ packs. A little prayer. And no rude comments from...

Right

If I could give no stars I would. I came in tonight with a sprained ankle that could possibly be a broken ankle and the staff was extremely rude. They didn’t offer me any medication, they didn’t elevate my foot and when I asked them for an update on when I would be getting x rayed they never came back. While sitting in the waiting room watching I noticed almost every interaction with their sick customers was unprofessional. They were rolling their eyes at every question, they would call people to the back and don’t even want to wheel those in wheelchairs. The only person who was kind to me and an older lady who offered to help will me to the front to ask if I could get
some medication. Everyone else seemed like they couldn’t be bothered the waiting room was filthy. There was dust everywhere, they didn’t give anyone a mask, I saw a blue vomit bag under a chair. It was disgusting. I will never ever come back. I decided to leave after waiting over 2 hours to try another ER room because I just couldn’t stand to wait
Mmhere any longer. Avoid this er room at all costs.

Don't go here to die. If you do your family may never find out. They told my family that called to check on my uncle that he had walked out in perfect health, but how can a dead man walk out of a hospital? He was in the morgue for 4 months before one of my family members got a suspicious feeling did some digging. They burned his possessions and did not even notify his wife who was put down as the person to notify. My family was put through so much pain thinking he had ran off and left everything behind. They are disgusting people and should have their license to care pulled.

0 stars, my dad is dying from cancer. He is not a very easy person to deal with and can be bitter towards others. He does have a big heart and is loved by many. However, the nurses have not had the best experience with him and know he’s acting angry out of being in severe pain. May also be scared to know that he is going to die.

This hospital is a big disappointment. Regardless of his bitterness I don’t think it’s right for the nurses to try and push for him to discharge. The nurses here are only employed for a paycheck. Not to whole heartedly help people. Especially those on a death bed. They act as if they care but this is just a big company collecting money from each patient that comes through the doors.
I guess it can go both ways to feel sympathy on either side. It’s not right for the staff to be yelled or treated poorly but it shouldn’t lead to neglect.. it makes matters worse, for the patient and family.
Makes the family feel helpless..

My son was sick and had to go to the ER. We spent a day at the hospital. The Doctors, Nurses, and Staff did an outstanding job diagnosing and treating his illness. Everyone was very nice. The facility is first class and even the cafeteria food was delicious. Thanks
