I went to UCLA Calabasas radiology for an ultra sound. They charged me $377 when I arrived saying that this was my portion of the deductible. I have a PPO insurance. When I got my EOB from my insurance company, I found out that my responsibility was only $20! It’s been a month, and after calls from my self and my insurance to UCLA billing, I am still waiting for a refund! Beware of being overcharged!

Bottom line up front: If your child needs speech therapy, I strongly recommend Christie Hall.

We drove 72 miles round trip once a week for 40 weeks--because she is that great.

I went into our first speech therapy evaluation lightly skeptical, thinking a speech therapist would be incentivized to diagnose children and recommend therapy, even if the need was minor. But instead of rushing into therapy, Christie recommended we wait, allowing our then-3-year-old's skills to develop naturally. When our child turned 4, Christie advised that we enroll him in school and observe his progress with his teacher. It was only after this careful monitoring that she recommended speech therapy at ~4.5 years.

We just finished 10 months of speech therapy, and our child looked forward to seeing Christie every single week. The progress in our son's speech is noticeable to everyone in our lives, and we're endlessly grateful for her personalized, thoughtful, and playful approach to his therapy.

A special shout out to the front desk team--especially Sarah and Max--who were always warm, welcoming, and thoughtful. They knew my child's name and would check us in as soon as we walked through the door.

For any parent navigating the challenges of speech therapy, I cannot recommend Christie Hall enough.

It's far but I prefer them because they can fit you in normally very quickly which is great when one doesn't know when there will be another break in your schedule, but if you call because you got held up with work and might be running late, just reschedule. They tell you on the phone that it's fine but then make a huge deal out of it when you're there and with gas prices going up, it's not worth the drive if you can't be seen.
