I had a decent experience here for the first couple years until I started having some tooth pain, and turns out they missed two very big cavities that I ended up needing two root canals for, despite taking x rays every time I visited. “The x rays overlapped and seemed to have blocked us from seeing these” is what they told me. My new dentist was very shocked that these cavities had been missed for years

Dr. Mahmood is a wonderful dentist. I recently received treatments for a cavity and a crown with his dental office. I’m satisfied with the results. I received helpful information for each step of the process. I was able to make appointments that were aligned with my schedule. The staffs were also very nice, and they clearly explained the finances and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this dental team.

I'll be as honest on here as I was with the dental hygienist and the dentist - I haven't been to the dentist in two years.

My original dentist was in Downtown Boston and I no longer work there, so I needed to find a new one. Then the pandemic happened. Then I had a friend get burned by a dentist they found off groupon. And good lord I just didn't want to do it. I finally got on Zocdoc and found one that was near me and I was not disappointed.

I had a bright and early 8am appointment. As soon as I entered the office I was greeted by two extremely friendly employees behind the front desk, all smiles and pleasantries. The dental hygienist, I believe her name is Camlia, came out and grabbed me right away. She went through my medical history first and explained everything as it was happening and what at-home treatment I should practice so I didn't have to come back for gum issues or deep cleanings. The dentist, Dr. Mahmood, came in right away as well. A pleasant surprise as I'm usually waiting another 20-30min between the cleaning and the doctor. He always explained everything he was checking and recommended a night guard. I know these things are ridiculously expensive, but when I got to the front desk at the end of my visit, they offered to reach out to my insurance company for me to see how much they would cover and follow up once they hear back. Lovely. They didn't push it either which we all know can happen.

Overall, I'm glad to have found this practice. I already scheduled my 6mo check-in and won't dread going back.

Have been seeing Dr McCarthy for 2 years now, she has been great.
Have had a few different dental procedures done, and she is gentle, attentive and very thorough. Could not ask for more from the whole office, her assistant Debra and hygienist
Kathleen are great also. Saw the other dentist practicing there also, Dr Kazmi he was excellent also. Highly recommend this office!

After visiting a different studio in the area for a routine cleaning, I received an excessively high quote for unnecessary treatments. Ultimate Dental, however, recognized that these treatments were unnecessary and opted to perform the cleaning during the initial appointment without pressuring me into unnecessary procedures.
