REALLY like my main PCP at UA med center BUT for this instance I went with a relative to have some heart issues checked (I know, go to the hospital--but it's DCH...). Anyway, we saw a NP who was wearing a fabric mask (those do not work) and was super concerned about covid, washing her hands a lot. She made us feel so much worse about the situation and actually caused panic. We had to go to DCH because UA Med Center has NO HEART EQUIPMENT!?! That's mind-blowing to think that this university who puts SO much research into everything doesn't invest in a simple EKG machine or even offer to send bloodwork out to check for possible heart problems. Thankfully, after a trip to DCH, things were fine. Anyway, next time we'll either suck it up and go to DCH in the beginning or Emergi-Care who actually is prepared for heart problems.

This place really needs to do something about the operators taking calls at the front desk. I am sick and tired of dealing with a specific rude operator every time that I try to call to schedule my daughter’s appointment. It’s not my fault that I can’t get a call back in a timely manner and that I work and only get a lunch break during the day and I’m never quite sure when that breaks is. Some of us aren’t aloud to have our phones on us at work!! Y’all need to do something before y’all lose a lot of patients!

My family has been blessed to be healthy and UMC has taken great care of my daughters since they were born. The staff is always understanding and helpful, special shout out to Audrey, she’s been holding down the blue suite pediatrics for a while and is so nice, patient, and professional always. The doctors are really great and always give us the most helpful information to go by and take care of the girls. They really care about you here. I recommend UMC for your non emergency medical care!

Doctor Shenoy is AMAZING!!!! very patient, understanding, thoughtful and made sure that I was comfortable, can't stress this enough!!!! The nurses were so helpful and thoughtful as well. Only negative aspect of my visit that I can even share is that the reception desk ladies seem to have too many task on them to have a chance to greet patients. They are very busy. Great visit

So grateful for Cassandra! My son is a student at the University and I needed to connect him to a doctor. She helped me through every step of it. She made calls for me and then followed up to make sure that we got the help that was needed. It was all very impressive!!!

The receptionist are always annoyed with patients! They never greet you with a smile or a hello. I don't think they like their jobs. Me being a receptionist I know how important it is to be friendly, helpful, and have compassion! I have been going here for years and always the same thing. Doctors are usually great! Only reason why they get a three. Also it is impossible to get through on the phone! Drives me crazy! I usually just email.

Dr. Shenoy is the best. He is patient and shows the upmost passionate care. At the worst- unimaginable time at DCH, I met him in the OR. All the doctors, I have ever known, He is an amazing doctor beyond his title. He truly cares. I have made him my Primary OB/GYNECOLOGIST. I am so grateful.

Review of Betty Shirley Clinic. The practitioner I saw was amazing...only wish I could actually get my meds or another appointment with her. Ended up going off medication cold turkey. Thank god I didn't have any of the side effects. They do not return calls, fill prescriptions in a timely manner and reschedule appointments without consulting you. Yes, they will leave you a message that your appointment has been changed but when you call back to reschedule if the time/day doesn't work for you, they never pick up or call back. The front desk even had the nerve to say that they are here for me when I've been calling for 3 weeks to schedule an appointment with no luck of getting someone on the phone. They even gave me a hard time when I tried to set up the patient portal. Save your time, peace of mind and money - go somewhere else.
