Dr. Packer and his staff are wonderful! I typically go on Base/JBER but who wants to sit at the ER for hours?!

I highly recommend this Urgent Care because it’s clean, friendly staff and a wonderful Doctor. I’ve been coming here since the beginning of Covid. They will take good care of you. Please keep in mind this isn’t a hospital but an Urgent Care facility.

I believe I saw Nathan George today and I would give that man 10 stars if possible he made my visit so comfortable and fun and light-hearted but actually took my pain seriously and validated me he was absolutely exceptional. I left there in such a better mood than when I had arrived, the whole entire staff was gracious and helpful and friendly. Would absolutely go back there.

If I could give zero stars I would. The care from the team was satisfactory, but was overcharged $74 (on top of my $10 copay) when checking out and for 2 months have been trying to solve the billing issue. I cannot get in touch with anyone from their claims department. I am given reasons each time as to why someone is unavailable but this has been the worst customer experience from a medical facility I have experienced in a long time. If someone from the clinic reads this and feels inclined to get in touch with me, please do.

Dr. Packer has been my “go to” MD when I need a diagnosis for me, my elderly mom, and I recommend him to my grown kids too. He was my Covid Doc as well. He’s logical and thinks outside the box if necessary. It’s so rare to find these days. He and his staff are professional, uncomplicated, knowledgeable, and very friendly. The fact that they smile when I walk in does NOT go unnoticed. He’s a “no b.s.” guy so he’s not going to sit around and shoot the breeze with you. ?. There are very few doctors who offer this kind of service these days (walk-in, Medicare, experienced etc…). I am so happy to have found him 12 years ago and will definitely keep coming back. Thank you Dr. Packer for offering these necessary services and hiring excellent staff in the Matanuska Valley.

I have used Lake Lucille Urgent Care for my family for the past two years. They are always great to my kids and I. From Kelcee, who works diligently at the front desk checking us in quickly and getting our insurance and details, to Dana who kindly listened to our issues and assured my daughter she would be ok, to Doctor Packer who provided solid care, with no unreasonable extra tests that aren’t needed, this is a strong team. If you’re trying to decide on which Urgent Care in the area to use- choose this one - the staff makes the clinic! As a veteran who is use to substandard and iffy care as a usual, I like when I have to take my family somewhere are they are treated well. We will keep using Lake Lucille Urgent Care for as long as we live in Wasilla. They also see me on occasion when the VA is overbooked and can’t get me in. They’re a wonderful community care provider and they take CHAMPVA!

Update. It's been a couple of weeks. Yes, I paid cash because I didn't have enough in my account to fill my deductible with their added/inflated costs.

But the real kicker is they billed my insurance 2 days after I was there and I had paid in full (seen on the 4th billed on the 6th). My insurance denied them because all of the charges were over the allowed cost.

Double billing? That's a huge no from me.

I called and the lady at the front desk got mad that I told her they double billed me, the doctor didn't even do his job and shouldn't lecture grown adults for their choices and she told me I was "bad mouthing the doctor" and she wouldn't take it (mind you she never actually answered why I was double billed).

At that point she said "If you are unhappy you can talk to a supervisor." I said "yes" and she hung up on me. When I finally got through again she said she told me the supervisor would call me back (absolutly not what she said, because I have the conversation recorded). It has been almost a week since she insisted that she said she would have a supervisor call me back, there is still no word from them.

Also has been a month since I was seen and I am still sick. So I highly don't recommend this place. Insanity.

They got one star because I can't leave zero.
I went in with a sudden onset of breathing problems, thinking it was Covid. They swabbed me then came back a few minutes later and told me I HAD to take a flu test even though I had no signs or symptoms of it and wasn't there for anything related to the flu.

That was an extra $120 on my bill.

They thought I had medicaid insurance, so they added everything they thought they could that was pointless. Surprise, I have had Medicaid in many years. $385 for them to tell me I *MIGHT* have bronchitis. They wrote in my chart that I was exposed to someone with covid, which is not factual. There are several things they wrote that I didn't say which I find bazaar.

The doctor spent longer lecturing me about smoking in an extremely condescending way than actually doing an exam after I told him I couldn't even currently smoke with how I feel.

Listen, doc, I'm 40 years old. Obviously, I know smoking is not good for me, but I am an adult. I didn't come for a lecture. I came in so you could tell me what was wrong, which you didn't even do.

It cost so much with their extra added unnecessary things that I can't even buy the medications they prescribed to help me get better. So I hope I didn't actually need those to get better.

I called before I went in and told them I had taken several at home tests that had come out negative, but with losing my smell and taste, I was concerned. I asked before I went in if it was a waste of time, and they insisted it would just be a *better than at home* covid test and maybe some meds after. I absolutely will never return to this place. What a scam they have going padding bills, running unneeded tests, and lying in peoples medical charts.

Staff is very helpful and informative. I called and spoke to Danielle about a physical my husband needs. I had no clue what exactly it was but when I described it to her she knew right away and answered all my questions so I could relay the information to my husband. Im confident he won’t have any issues when he see them next week.

I came in hoping for some help and all I experienced was the staff wanting to rush me back out, the Dr included. Rude and short, interrupted me, paid literally no attention to the symptoms I showed up for in the first place, ended up having to go to matsu health instead. In the chance this was an off day for y'all I'll try one more time if I need an urgent care again. Please don't treat your customers you don't like, like trash anymore. Your not there to make their life worse. I'm the type who will put an immediate stop to it.
