I spent three nights four days in this hospital and received excellent care. I’ve never really been in a hospital so I have nothing to compare to you, but the service and level of concern was amazing. Thank you so much for taking care of me.

In the pre-dawn hours of Friday September 6th, 2024, I arrived at the Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood, Arizona. The air was heavy with the scent of disinfectant and antiseptic, but my senses were overwhelmed by the excruciating pain that radiated from my abdomen. As I was rushed in by ambulance, my vision was blurred and my mind was dizzy - a result of both the pain and the fear that gripped me.

Over the next few days, two figures stood out like beacons of comfort and compassion - RN nurses Mapel and Sam. Their gentle voices and soothing touches immediately put me at ease. As I lay there, feeling like something inside me was dying, their caring presence gave me strength and hope. It was as if they were not just treating my physical symptoms, but also tending to my shattered spirit.

In fact, every member of the medical team worked tirelessly to ease my pain and bring me comfort. Their dedication and selflessness instilled in me a newfound sense of faith in humanity. They were my angels in scrubs, working tirelessly to heal not just my physical wounds, but also my emotional ones. For that, I will be forever grateful.

I'm not sure why this place has such bad reviews, but it was one of my better ER experiences. Anthony the nurse was really attentive and helpful. The nurse who put my IV in got it in the first time (it usually is 2+ times every time I need an IV at other hospitals). The doctor was really thorough in what tests and imaging she ran. She couldn't figure out what was causing my issue but they did stabilize me by the end of my visit.

I recently had a heart attack at home and transported to VVMC. I can't be more grateful to the quickness of all involved getting me into the operation room. That includes the admitting physician Michael, cardiac physician Dr. Glover, Katy and Thane who took me from emergency department to the operating room and night nurse Alan. You all were extremely professional and caring to me. I know many more assisted me in my room. Recovery is going well because of all your help. Thank you.

We had a great experience with Verde Valley Medical Center.
From the time in the ER room up to room. The ER room doctors, nurses etc were great. There's one nurse (Chelcia) that was great!! once I was up in a room. She was a great nurse and advocate for the patient. She was very comforting while I was there..

I was a patient at VVMC. The night nurses/PCT's are awful. They never check on you. I pushed the call light twice and told them what I want. Nurse finally shows up 2 hrs later. No apology. They forgot about my procedure and thought the order was there. Never followed up until late afternoon. It has to be reordered!! Omg! So many inconsistencies and inadequate care. I do not want to ever come back here again and please do not being your family here. There are many other areas of concern. I think I may have to report this to TJC, CMS or OIG.

A few years ago I waited 6 1/2 hours in the ER waiting room to be seen for a broken arm. They were out of beds so I was cared for in a storage room. A friend was there about 8 months ago and they left her rolling around on the ER floor in agony with an undiagnosed GI problem. She said the employees witnessed her trauma and no one came to help. She ultimately evacuated the room fearing eventual care would be equally as bad and swears will never go back.

I experienced an injury, long story short, after seeing 9 professionals, my wound becoming dehisced, my personal doctor referred me to the best place ever!! Wound Care! The ladies there are amazing! I finally got Nicole, she actually cared about how I felt, how annoying not was for me to see 10 different people, for there to be no continuity of care in my healing process. Nicole Nelson, she listened to me. She saw how much frustration and pain I had for SO LONG. Thank you Dr. Steven Taylor for referring me, thank you Wound Care, Megan (congrats on nursing school you will be great) and NICOLE you are the absolute best, I can not thank you enough for all you did. I am truly blessed to have met you, and had you take a personal interest in my Care, THANK YOU!!!
