Walked in at 2:42pm. Their hours today are until 4pm. Not a single patient in the whole building but there were five nurses standing around chatting. I asked to be seen and she said NO. They decided to stop taking people for the day. This is a medical health urgent care, turning people away for no reason other than to close early.

First Meeting with NP, told an ultrasound would be ordered… never happened.
First meeting with Dr, Dr went off on me for taking a drug I’ve been on for years, and did not go into any of my health background. Dirty hands too.
Scheduled an urgent meet with a specialist who I can’t see until 12/24.
Changing Doctor and health plan due to all of this unprofessionalism.

I had a great experience with NP Tyler and he helped out more than he knows. I highly recommend seeing him if possible. Thank you for everything. He put in the necessary referrals and future appointments that I need.

THEY DISCRIMINATE AGAINST ANYONE NOT HISPANIC!

08/21/24, I called to make an appointment. I'm very low income and have HealthNet through Covered California. After a 2 hour hold, the woman on the phone refused to give me an appointment stating they don't accept HealthNet and I'll have to go to Urgent Care (which I can't afford). I find out later she had lied to me. VCC's own website states they accept anyone regardless if they have insurance or not.

They are discriminating against anyone who is not hispanic. I will be filing a complaint with the state. Discriminating like this will risk their non-profit status and any funding from the state.

I would highly recommend this office on pier way for its personal service. The front office staff is very sweet the nurse practitioner Tyler is fantastic. I have never met Dr McMurray because he doesn't take my insurance and for some strange reason I have been scheduled with him twice. This gets a massive thumbs down because of the inability to schedule directly with this doctor's office. They use a third party scheduling system that has no clue about what's actually going on in the office. They're also part of my dental network and I can't get ahold of that either! I've been waiting on a call back from them for over a week and a half

I’ve been going here for years and am always disappointed. The most recent time I called to schedule an appointment for chest congestion and chest pain following a cold. They only had virtual visits available unless I wanted to wait a month to be seen in person. I do the virtual appointment and she says it sounds like a bacterial infection. She says I need to come in for a visit so she can listen to my chest and do a chest X-ray. I explain to her I live 30 mins away and only have a car a couple days a week. So she prescribed me an inhaler and mucinex. She said it sounds bacterial but wouldn’t prescribe antibiotics. She told me she recommend I go to an emergency room or urgent care since I can’t come to the clinic. All they did today was charge my insurance. Told me to come back so they can charge my insurance some more for a chest X-ray I don’t need.
