I'm giving this five stars because 9-5 employees are working hard enough, and shouldn't be punished for critical reviews that are reflections of the companies with which they work.

This is a critical review.

This criticism is not about them. It's about insurance companies, and their shameless inability to service customers. They don't care about us in any capacity. They only care about profit.

There is a huge problem with psychological care in Florida. I have HealthFirst insurance, unique to the State of Florida. This insurance does not cover any psychologists in the State. However, FL psychologists now require patients to have insurance in order to be seen. As a consequence, they no longer allow patients to pay out-of-pocket. This is a Catch-22. I can't see a doctor unless I have insurance (which I do), but if your insurance doesn't cover the doctor, you can't see the doctor.

I hope every reasonable, empathetic human being in America can understand this is precisely why a political violence is being directed to healthcare CEOs. The perpetrators aren't insane. They're victims. This is why CEOs are getting shot in the street, and why decent people just step over their lifeless husks.

I sincerely hope our political representatives fix these situations. Insurance companies are killing us. We need help. Sincerely, we need help. Otherwise, there will just be more violence. But it's not senseless violence. It is predictable, sensible violence.

So, please. Someone help us. What are we supposed to do?

I have been a patient of Sharon Crane for some time now. She has helped me through some hard times and carefully listens to what I have to say. She's been a positive impact in my life and I can't thank her enough. I would recommend her without any hesitation. The staff has been great as well. Making sure I get the appointments and are easy to communicate with. Nothing but great experiences here and I highly recommend not only Sharon Crane, but the place in general for whatever you may need.

I would highly recommend to find other providers if you are taking a special needs child here. Our entire experience here has been an issue. We started in November 2023 by taking our son for an evaluation who has autism. We were told it would take up to 2 hours and to drop him off and wait nearby until it was done. We made them aware prior that he has autism and a lengthy evaluation would be challenging but they were fine . About 12-15 minutes into the evaluation they called us to pick him up and said he was not complying (shocker right?).

They then had the doctor follow up with us on a video call later in the week and said her assistant would be in touch to look at other evaluation options. We never heard another peep from them and my wife followed up but never heard back. Fast forward to March 2024 they sent us a bill for $1500 after insurance covered $700. In the bill there is multiple hours of evaluations (they only saw him for 15 minutes). I assumed it was an error and would be corrected.

I called them to inquire why they would bill us when they failed to deliver a service. The office manager was unable to really give specifics to the bill and comes across rude. She claimed they faxed a report to our pediatrician end of January 2024 (2 months later) and the pediatrician states they never received it. I called again to follow up and was told the owner would call me, I called again and was told yet again the owner would call me but here I am with no follow up (notice the pattern?).

Alexa Barnett is very caring and professional. She listened to my concerns and made me feel comfortable. If you are also unsure about what to expect given the other reviews of this place, I suggest giving Barnett & this office a chance.

My husband and I took my daughter to get evaluated. We loved Sharon Crane and the teo ladies at the front. When I went in for the intake Interview, The Dr. doing the intake interview took what was said and stated it incorrectly on my daughter's report. We felt the communication between the staff and my husband I were very poor. When my husband spoke to the owner, she was very defensive and didn't seem to support our concerns. I had to take the report to the doctors because it was never faxed to them like we were told it would be.

I went here years ago for a autism test and not only did the fiddle around with billing and take 800 dollars when they shouldn't have, they said I have NVLD and then the results papers rattled on and on about how a therapist plan for my depression. (Not what I'm paying you for.) And just said the two combined makes it look like depression, how convenient. Thanks for diagnosing me with Asperger's by a different name that nobody's heard of. I saw another review on here that's very similar, it seems like this office likes to diagnose people with never heard of conditions that are just the big ones everyone's heard of in a trenchcoat.
