I am Dr. Majid's staff. And I can say that she really love what she is doing. Since day one, she's always telling me that her patient's best is her top priority. Her passion on providing the best service is one of a kind. And I admire her for that. She never stop learning as well, no wonder why she's very smart. I saw how she's investing to be better and better.

I had a horrible, horrible experience with Weight Loss and Wellness Center. I had a consultation with Dr. Majid in August 2023.
They have never told me (from the first call to the consultation and after) that Dr. Majid was an out-of-network provider.
The website is very misleading as it states that they work with my insurance Cigna, among others.
I had to pay $500 up front for the consultation, and all they told me was that I needed to pay as my "deductible was high" when they got my insurance information. At any point, it was disclosed to me that they just didn't take my insurance.
After that, I saw a claim on my insurance for $800, which was really high. I emailed and called multiple times and was reassured by different people within the billing department that I would NOT have to pay anything else besides the original $500.
Comes December, I got a bill for the balance I "owe" for the $800 consultation. It was not even an hour consultation; I only responded to a questionnaire for the first 30 minutes and talked to the doctor for the remaining 30-ish minutes.
They had gone ahead and scheduled all the appointments and tests I needed for a weight loss surgery, including an Endoscopy with Dr. Majid. All of that without EVER telling me it would all be out of pocket.
I am THANKFUL I saw that claim on Cigna and realized it wasn't covered. Imagine the bill I would get after an Endoscopy with an out-of-network provider. It would be thousands of dollars.
I tried to fight back the bill (since I had already spent $500 for a 30-minute consultation that took me nowhere), and they just said I needed to talk to the billing company. That was all they responded.
I had never in my life had to write a bad review on Google, but this time, I was so outraged with the misleading information and blatant lies they told me that I had to ward off other people who (LIKE ME) could not afford $800 for a consultation.
I felt taken advantage of, disrespected, lied to, and all because I wanted to take care of my health.

I should have kept my previous review and not let me get convinced by dr. Majid office to take it down . Everyone deserves a chance and I thought dr Majid deserved one. Just to prove my opinion still the same about her practice . I lost 3 months of my time and and got no help from them and I feel it is because I didn’t want surgery . I did all they tell me just at the end they wanted to give me a med that is not good for me ( but they still wanted me to try it for 3 months) and the other I found out the last day I wasn’t able to take it either and they won’t give me a prescription for it! So why they ask for approval from my insurance? Maybe they thought my insurance won’t approve them ?. Just be aware! And to the office please don’t answer this review saying you were trying to do everything to help because you know is not true! Please don’t call me again , I definitely don’t trust your practice anymore.

Dr Majid is very rude and condescending. I don’t recommend you go through this doctor. Find a doctor who is supportive and you can speak with abt any questions or concerns and will support you
