Went in for a colonoscopy and caught COVID which at the age of 69 was almost fatal, had 8 day of severe illness, and then got Siatica which I'm still dealing with over 3 months later. Should have never gone in for that procedure at West Hills Surgical Center.

Went in for a colonoscopy and had a better experience than I expected. Staff was friendly, professional and reassuring. Doctor greeted me beforehand and answered all my questions. Before I knew it, I was waking up and felt zero discomfort. Recovery was quick for me, and the overall experience was pleasant. I highly recommend this place for this type of procedure.

From the person who checked me in to the nurses in recovery, everyone here was incredibly nice, thoughtful, and professional. The center has a clear structure in place, and everything went like clockwork. I was very impressed and very appreciative of the care I received here.

Today I had a colonoscopy here. I arrived at 6am to check in and everyone was chipper, helpful and decked out in Halloween costumes. Intake organized and prompt. Next step nurse’s prep. Very informative, great disposition. Then the anesthesiologist who explained exactly what would happen and then the doctor did the same. As projected, I was in and out within 2 1/2 hours.
Sounds crazy I know but truly a great experience!

The out of pocket cost the quote is a moving target, $1,283, $525, $883.34...it sounds like they quote charges based on what they need for that tine period. I had to reschedule 3 time due to the change in cost. I love my doctor but cancelled the procedure for good because of the surgical center she uses.

Note: I edited to change "hospital" to "surgery center" as, in spite of their attempt to wiggle out of this review, my miserable experience was definitely at the West Hills Surgical Center located at 7240 Medical Center Drive in West Hills, CA. (Nice try though to try to make it seem like I had the wrong place.)

If I could give zero stars I would. I had the very unfortunate experience of having a procedure at this surgery center. I have had several surgeries (not at this center) and every anesthesiologist has gracefully accommodated my request to be put under with the mask and to have the IV inserted after I'm asleep. The anesthesiologist here was rude, belittling, and made a point of saying "we only do that for babies and small children". She ended up agreeing after a lot of eye rolling and sighing. I have NEVER had an experience like this.

When I woke up I was in extreme pain and the nurses said to go home and take some tylenol then they forced me to get up and walk to my husband's car. I could hardly move and they wouldn't even wait until I got my bearings and felt a little better.

I hope I never have to set foot in this place again.

Well run, clean and ample parking. Pre-Op/Procedure nurses are friendly and will assist you with any questions. Shout Out to Marty/Martie for her great energy and for taking time to show the pick-up area.
