I have been debating for a long time to write a review about this office. I was a patient before the office was acquired by the bigger corporation and after. I had babies and had my care with this office for both of my full term high risk pregnancies. I also had my care with them for my annual exams and for the two miscarriages I had as well. All of this to say I, in general, think the doctors here are excellent. My main Dr was Briggs Geier. Truly an angel on earth. She is this office’s saving grace. The midwife, Mikki, is also truly fantastic. These two women are the reason I continued to endure the practice after it was acquired by the corporation. My most recent pregnancy resulted in postpartum depression and anxiety. Dr geier helped me with guidance on a psychiatrist and everything. My maternity leave was ending soon and I called the office to see if they could assist me with a work accommodation due to my postpartum effects. The staff, however, basically told me to kick rocks. They wouldn’t assist with writing a simple accommodation letter that would have allowed me to stay working from home and save my sanity. I must say, this was NOT a doctor who declined to assist me, it was a staff member. They refused to put the request into my doctor to make that decision. The office staff here are awful and rude. The nurses who handle these requests have zero compassion regardless of the fact I literally had spent thousand upon thousands upon thousands of dollars for all of my care here. I left this practice and will not turn back. Even though I adored my doctor, I cannot say I appreciated being treated so poorly while I’m freshly postpartum and suffering with effects of depression and anxiety. There was zero compassion or support from them postpartum. I am truly truly disappointed in west valley women’s care. The two stars is simply because of Dr geier. She is again amazing and she could do so much better than this place.

Ive been a patient with my three pregnancies here and recently i tried scheduling another appointment and it’s been a nightmare trying to connect with the front office through phone. They have you waiting on hold for an unreasonable amount of time and apparently the phones are set up to hang up after 20 minutes of waiting so just a heads up to any women you will loose your turn in line and have to call again and be put on hold all over again. With all the money this facility makes off insurance companies it’s so tacky they have no proper phone service set up. I was hoping since Dr James Johnson delivered and cared for me throughout my last pregnancies that this new pregnancy I would have the same doctor care for me but so much has changed for the worst. It seems like they don’t care about patient wellness any longer and are more worried about billing insurance companies and capitalizing off pregnant women. What a shame. These doctors forget the oath of ethics they made and the obligations that comes with being a physician and are only focused on how many patients walk in through those door$

I used WVWC for my pregnancy in 2022 I saw their mid wife Micki and she was fantastic and caring. I loved her.
This year 2024 I have been struggling with my endometriosis and severe pain and was referred to Dr. Du. My first visit with Dr. Du left me anxious and feeling unheard. She dismissed my symptom's saying "so your only true issue is pain." I told her I have spent the 12 years trying various birth controls and treatments for my endo and they were unsuccessful and left feeling worse each time. Getting off of birth control for the first time in 2021 was the first time my cycle was consistent, only lasted 3-5 days instead of my normal 10-12 and I didn't have excessive bleeding. She was dismissive pushing birth control on me even though I gave her my history of trying everything from daily pills, shots and an IUD. She didn't care I tried a suppression treatment that put me in the hospital and left me with other health issues such as a torn esophagus from throwing up so violently and often. She told me she would put me on a new medication that is a suppression medication but lower dose. saying if it did not work we could look into doing another surgery to ease my pain. I reluctantly agreed. I got the medication and instead of giving me the new suppression medication she simply wrote me a prescription for norethindrone which is a contraceptive and not what we agreed on. I tried the medication and had an allergic reaction. When I let her know she told me to either try the name brand or to get an IUD once again. I said no to either and she told me that I had to go on birth control that had already proven not to work for me. When i asked if surgery was still an option she told me that if I wasn't going to go on birth control she couldn't help me. I told her I just don't react well to the hormones and even pregnant I struggled and threw up every day and asked is there bloodwork we could do to see if there is a reason i struggle or to see if something else is going on and she refused me bloodwork.
I have never left an appt feeling worse or so defeated. She didn't want to listen to my experience. She didn't care that my symptoms are worse on hormones than they are without and she lied about the medication she was giving me to begin with. She hardly asked any questions about my cycle, or the amount of pain I'm in or how often. I hope that in the future someone address the lack of compassion and ethical care from her and she takes the time to educate herself further and actually listen to her patients instead of lying to them and dismissing them even when they have valid concerns about her recommendations.

My doctor was great and this is not about the actual providers at this office. The billing department sent my account to collections in August 2023 although I made payment in June 2023. I made sure to keep in touch with the office when I was unable to make payment (I believe I missed payment in April and May) and they did not care. When I called to make payment in July 2023 I was told my account went to collections. It’s now affecting my credit and I have disputed the account with no resolution. My account was in good standing when it was sent to collections. Also, I made payments even if they were small at almost every appointment I went to just to avoid this situation and be sure to pay something towards my bill. I should’ve saved my money. Shame on this office.  Make sure you pay them NOTHING until the end of your services or until you are rightfully billed by your insurance. I have multiple medical bills due to my pregnancy that became high risk and every office was understanding (you know you can’t work after you have a baby) and allowed me time to recover and begin a payment plan. So just beware if you’re like me and can’t afford to pay them off thousands of dollars at once. They don’t care if you just had a baby, are not working and can’t make payment. Next time have some empathy for your patients.

I was referred by my OB-Gyn to manage my thyroid, I was able to get an appointment very quickly. I’ve seen both Dr. Garcia and Dr. Martinez, they are both very attentive, direct and knowledgeable and very approachable. My appointments never feel rushed and my thyroid is now under control. All the ultrasound techs and staff have been very friendly and helpful throughout my visits.

Had the best experience here at my first appointment. NP Emily Benner was who I had my visit with; she was thorough and helpful with all questions I had. I'm happy to have found Emily, as my previous doc at another women's clinic didn't grant the greatest service. Also, the phlebotomist Salina was great at her efficiency and eased my anxiety during blood withdrawals.

I'll start off by saying that the front office receptionist and the nurse I spoke to were very friendly. However, someone at their office called my minor daughter with devasting news instead of calling me first. When I called to discuss this matter Desiree was extremely rude condescending and unemotional at the emotional distress they caused my daughter. I am not a fan of this place at all.
