They triage your call and the nurse tells you if you need to come in or go to the hospitalโ€™s ER. Most of the time they wonโ€™t take you in. So basically no urgent care services in a community where access to the Hospital is far or as we know they close all roads often so not able to go unless you call 911. ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿผ 5 thumbs down

Everyone here has always been professional and courteous with me. They have always treated my needs and concerns in a timely manner, weather in the office or on the phone. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable in all my concerns. I also appreciate the coffee and cookies in the waiting room.

Will never return to this office again. Never once met the doctor. Only the PA who rushed both visits. They only allow one patient at a time so when I went with my two children and mother, who was there to help since one child was one month old, they made my mother and infant wait outside in 110 degree weather, regardless of the fact I was breastfeeding. Then this last visit they refused to see my infant (patient) because I brought my other two year old daughter with me. So my infant did not receive her vaccinations. The reason posted on the wall was " due to limited seating"!!!! However both times I was there, no one else was in the waiting room or even the office!! I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED A DOCTOR VISIT SO BIZARRE than at this place.

I am very pleased with this doctors office I have been a patient for over a year and Iโ€™ve been helped in every aspect from my high blood pressure and diabetes to eye exams and sent to specialists. I sometimes arrive late to my appointment and they still see me. I am treated as more than a patient I greatly appreciate the staff
I highly recommend Dr and Raquel

When you walk in and tell them what's going on and are refused to be seen and have to call what's the point of your sign saying "urgent" if you are not willing to see someone with an urgent issue makes absolutely no sense to me.

"They have been very good at answering questions and providing needed referrals. Digitized medical records from previous doctor" - That was the original review I posted six months ago but under what I would say were unprofessionally coercive conditions. I was asked to post that review while waiting in the office to see the doctor. See more in this review I just posted on their other Google Maps listing... I would advise new patients considering selecting this practice for their primary care to look elsewhere. I have been with "Dr. Richard Kyaw" for over a year and a half and never actually meet the doctor. His wife, a physicians assistant, Raquel Medeiros, appears to actually run the practice and is the only "doctor" you will actually see. Note that all the comments here on Google Maps refer to Raquel and none mention seeing Dr. Richard Kyaw. I have had specialist I have seen refer to him as "the mystery man". For the first year I was fine seeing Raquel. She is nice enough and generally answered my question though I always felt rushed. They sent me for referrals to several specialists to check up on several issues I was having and were good about filling needed prescriptions. That is until I developed a problem that need more immediate and ongoing attention. Now I have to fight to get appointments. Today I went in for test results and even Raquel would not see me to give me results and answer questions, only a nurse would speak with me. I have had to go through my insurance (IEHP) to force them to respond and give me an appointment. My impression is that now that I am a more complex (troublesome) patient that needs more attention than just a quick visit every 6 months, they don't want to service me any longer. It is probably because I am a MediCal patient and it is not cost effective for them to see me. It is very frustrating. Let me also caution you about positive reviews left here. During a office visit 6 months ago, before Raquel saw me, a nurse came in the room with a computer tablet and asked me to post a positive review online for them. I thought that very odd and felt I was being pressured to doing something that should be my choice to do on my own time. Against my better judgment I did as they asked, given my experience until than had been mostly positive. I really regret it now. So beware that some of the positive reviews may have similarly been un-professionally coerced in-office. One last thing, their phlebotomist are terrible! I would suggest that you have any blood work done at the LabCorp at Desert Aids Project in Palms Springs were the phlebotomist are well trained and professional. At Dr. Kyaw office several staff will come in and screw up and stick you in both arms until they final find a vein.

Very incomplete PA practicing here. Also malpractice in cancer screenings as no matter how many years since your last cancer screenings and no matter your history, you are forced to wait for screenings, until your next BIRTHDAY!! MALPRACTICE DR. KWAH!! SUPERVISE AND TRAIN YOUR STAFF. Also, the led lies and says she is the "practice manager".
