The guy at the front desk was very nice and pleasant. It's nice when you feel crappy and someone still has good energy and is patient with you. The doctor was good, treated me... I feel better. However, I made an appointment and didn't get seen until an hour and a half later. That why I gave the 4 stars.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
I have yet to encounter a less competent medical establishment.
I visited the clinic several days ago, and I waited for more than an hour to see the doctor. They kept moving me from one room to another to bring in other people. And when the doctor finally came in an over-caffeinated rush, she took a quick glance at the chart, ordered a blood test, and then sent me home. No diagnosis. No medication. Nothing.
Several days later, I am still waiting for my test results! I called five times, emailed them twice, and they REFUSE to provide the results, stating that the doctor is too busy to call me back, and she will when she has the time.
This place is a disgrace to any medical practice.

The worst. I have not ever been treated like this. I was asked to pee in a cup, do not flush, do not wash my hands. I did as I was told. Dr. Jose told me there was no temperature, I need to pee again. So, I did as I was told. AGAIN he said no temperature. When I tried asking questions he cut me off and told me I brought in someone else pee, that it did not come from my body which is why the urine had no temperature…?
If you need to take a pee test, PLEASE ask a nurse to watch you the first time. Because apparently he accuses you of false information.
Sitting here for an hour now, waiting for my body to give urine for the 3rd time.

The nurse was very sweet and accommodating

We walked into the urgent care about 10 minutes before it closed and they were kind enough to put my son in for a strep test. Everyone was super friendly and patient and we had absolutely no issues at all. The prescription went through to CVS with no problem, which has been an issue in the past With different urgent cares! I will definitely return to Westlake urgent care if we need an urgent care appointment.

From the check in to the diagnosis the most stellar urgent care that I have EVER been to. I made an appointment and was able to make it within 2 hours of when I was seen and Dr. Amanda was amazing and so thorough. She ordered so many tests to get to the bottom of my illness. Had labs done at the office and sent me to some same day testing and the doctor called me the next day to follow up with lab results. Dr. Amanda spent so much time on the phone with me. It felt like I had my own concierge doctor to be honest! I would strongly recommend this urgent care.

PLEASE READ BEFORE VISITING SONIA DEVGAN KACKER
I made an appointment for this office after having a sore throat for two days. With the wildfires and poor air quality sweeping our area, I chalked my condition up to allergies/sinus issues from the fires. I wanted a "professional's" opinion for good measure.

I walked in for my appointment, where I checked in with the front desk and was told to wait in my car or outside while they prepared the room for me. The waiting room is tiny, only 2 chairs which had already been occupied. This was fine, and I complied with their request to wait outside. The front desk staff came outside after about 10 mins to take me to my room. Once in the room, the front desk staff asked for my credit card so they could take my copay. I said "do I pay that after or" and he goes "no, she (Dr. Devgan-Kacker) likes for us to charge before she sees the patient". So, I give my card, and he asks if I would like a receipt. This alone felt very transactional and like my experience as a paying patient didn't matter to Dr. Sonia and team.

In walks a kind doctor's assistant to take my vitals and ask my symptoms. I told her itchy/sore throat, occasional cough at night, chills the night prior and expressed my history with bronchitis and severe seasonal allergies (especially during fire season). Even with this information, not once did a staff member ask me to wear a mask. I wasn't coughing, sneezing, etc. and it didn't seem to be a problem with anyone. Before anyone comes after me, I'm not anti-mask. Assistant comes back with a swab for my nose and throat, runs them back to the lab and I'm waiting for about 10 minutes when....

The almighty Dr. Sonia walks in... Well, steps one foot in, realizes I'm not masked (she is in full PPE), says "you know what, you're not even wearing a mask, follow me" and disappears around the corner. I kid you not, I couldn't even find her when I left the room I was put in. I assumed she had gone out front, so I just went out front and found her.

Here I am, out front of the urgent care, right in front of the glass doors where the patients who are inside can see me. Is this not a HIPAA violation to conduct your doctor's visit in front of other patients

The first words "Dr." Sonia officially said to me were "you have Influenza A and you're not even wearing a mask....turn around". She proceeded to listen to my lungs and finish my appointment in front of the urgent care clinic almost in the parking lot. Despite this public display of humiliation, I profusely apologized for my lack of a mask. I wasn't feeling 100% and didn't think to, also was in and out of there without any contact with other patients. Before COVID, nobody wore masks to urgent care clinics and we all survived. Again, not a single staff member asked me to. If they asked, I would've complied, I just didn't think about it.

Before I could ask her any questions about my care/treatment course, or symptoms, Dr. Kacker goes "You know what? You can leave. I'll go back inside and give you a call". She didn't give me a visit summary paper or medication information. Just sent me off.

I was in disbelief.

I head back to my car and she calls me. I apologize again for not wearing a mask (I shouldn't have to beg for any doctor's mercy) and she responds with "I have a lot of little old ladies coming in and out of this clinic and I don't need them to get sick because of you. I treat the flu with COVID protocols. Do you need a mask if you're going to be wandering all around town?".....No, Sonia, I won't be wandering around town, thank you.

It gets better...

She asks me if I really think I need tamiflu as there's a shortage of it and she's only writing prescriptions if you really need it. Well, I have the flu, Sonia, I think I would like to be treated with top notch care. I had to beg for a tamiflu prescription.

I called the office 3x for a doctor's note and medication info.

Shocked and disappointed given the high reviews. Take your time and money elsewhere, I've had better experiences at Exer.
