Excellent BJJ training, mostly No Gi. Welcoming clean professional. I attend for the HIIT workout I get. But this gym trains competitors. Will has 6 adults and 1 child competing at NAGA on 01/25/25.

Training at WMBJJ has consistently been the best part of my day for over a year. Will provides a level of instruction and knowledge of the sport that I have not been able to find anywhere else and my jiu jitsu had progressed considerably as a result. After starting BJJ at a large gym down in Phoenix, I was worried I wouldn't be able to continue my BJJ when we decided to move to Lakeside. I WAS WRONG! From the first time I contacted Will to my first class and every class since I have felt extremely welcome and enjoyed every minute. Will is a fantastic instructor and is very knowledgeable. The classes have a great format and Will really goes the extra mile to ensure that you understand the concepts of each move and how they relate to other moves and positions. I would 100% recommend WMBJJ.

I have known Will (the owner/instructor) for many years. We trained together in MMA/BJJ and he was my cornerman for my fights. I love this man. He is a great friend and instructor. I do not train anymore but I take my kids to him. He does really good with kids. My boys have learned a lot from him and my youngest is ready to do a tournament with him soon. This is the best place on the mountain for BJJ.

What an awesome studio! The instructor is articulate and extremely patient. He dedicates the time needed to make sure we (students) are learning. There are male and female students from 16 to 50 spanning from beginner to really good. Most importantly, the environment is easy going (with some rules of course), non judgemental and is full of students that enjoy jiu jitsu and are happy to help others learn the sport. Lastly, it only cost $60 a month and there are no contracts so pretty much no reason not to try it out.
