We took a birthing preparation class with Kiesha from our midwife's recommendation...and wow oh wow. It ended up being a 3+ hour long class and the information we received was PRICELESS. You can read books, you can watch videos, you can listen to podcasts...and sometimes it still doesn't feel like enough to fully prepare you for birth.

However....after Kiesha's class we walked away feeling empowered (and much less fear) for our birth because of the knowledge that Kiesha imparted on us from her decade of experience as a doula and midwife assistant. She went over a variety of topics related to birth such as the science of birth, phases of labor, what happens while pushing for you and the baby, various helpful positions while in active stages of labor....and so forth. She also answered our questions in a really thoughtful way and presented information from different perspectives.

After the class, my husband kept repeating that he wished all future (past and present) parents got to experience what we experienced. He also was grateful for the acknowledgement for the transition that he'll be going through himself as a soon to be father. We could not recommend this experience enough and hoping that all future parents could benefit from a birthing class just like this one (and especially with Kiesha)!!!

I don't even have the words for how grateful I am for Kiesha. She made everything possible from being able to find a midwife to the support during my labor. I am eternally grateful to her and what she does. She is very knowledgeable, caring, patient, and make you feel so comfortable. I was nervous about giving birth naturally but she reassured me about everything I was nervous about. She broke down the whole process of labor and what to expect from my body and taught me so much that I never knew. I just moved into the area and this place came up on Event brite. I was looking for Yoga and Sound Baths in my area. I was extremely impressed by all the services offered. I tried yoga with Laura and a Sound bath as well. Both such great experiences. I got to meet Dr Henry. She was so friendly! I can’t wait to come back and try out more of their services.

Women Rise is an amazing center. They are very welcoming and they want to make sure you are educated and feel relaxed. I took a Yomassage class and the instructor Tonee was incredible. She made me feel so comfortable since this was my first time taking this class and I was blown away. I didn't realized how tense I was until her class and I left so calm and relaxed right after. I felt like I was floating on clouds. I recommend their services. I can't wait for my next class.
