I've been going to Dr. Matthew Alpert and before him his father for 40 years. Dr. Alpert recently sold his business and is leaving for Nashville! I wish him good luck and will miss him.

Once he's gone, I will not go back to Woodland eye care. I don't know about the doctors. I assume they're quite competent, but the front desk could not be any less welcoming. No smile, no recognition that I've been a client for 40 years - very curt. I brought this to their attention and Instead of saying, sorry for the misunderstanding the lead receptionist lead denied any wrongdoing. Life is too short to have bad customer service.

I have gone to this optometrist for years and have never been met with great customer service. They have always tried to upsell and don't really seem interested in much else. I purchased a $500 pair of glasses (with my insurance) and they offer free lifetime repairs. I went there today and the woman said my name wrong twice ignoring my correction. She then was rude to me saying that they are broken. She threw my glasses back in the case and got up and moved on to the next task. RUDE No sales, no service. 👎. 1 ✨

This used to be the very best optometry office near me, for a long time. Dr. Alpert always was, and continues to be, wonderful. And because the insurance industry sucks and owning a business is a time-suck I understand why it was necessary to sell, but the big-corporation aspects are why I will take future business elsewhere.
NOW: If they don't have an eyeglass frame in stock they are no longer able to order... the assortment of frames is less, and the person helping me with frames (which I had already chosen) seemed unsure of herself and that made her appear to me, incompetent. They also used to take inused glasses to donate, but that is now gone.
Another small, neighborhood business lost.
Dr. Alpert is wonderful.

Great care by amazing doctor Richard Eisenberg.
Getting the right fit for my eyes is not easy due to CRVO in my history and a torn retina in my left eye. Dr Eisenberg took the time and care to bring my vision to its highest level! His staff is wonderful and a special thank you to Danny for helping me find contact lenses that actually work!

I love this place. Dr. Van is great. They are always so helpful and friendly. The only reason I deducted a star is because with all the wonderful eyewear out there their selections are lacking.

I moved to Woodland Hills this year and needed a new optometrist. Alpert was not only covered by my insurance, it was walking distance to my house. Both the eye doctor (I forget his name - sorry!) and the staff were super friendly and helpful, from exam to new eyeglasses purchase. Couldn’t be happier.

Amazing experience at Alpert Vision Care! I searched and got a last minute appointment on Friday for Monday afternoon. The tests were fast and comfortable, Dr. Van was super thorough, and Dani is an angel - patient, kind, funny, and so good at her job! After showing her just one example of the type of frame I like, she found me a bunch of amazing options to choose from and helped me choose the perfect frames for my face. It’s almost as though she had studied my style for years because she knew exactly what I liked. ✨

I will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone looking for optometry care!
