Let me start by saying my stay at Worcester Medical Center was awful. I went in for a same day surgery procedure on 10/5/21. That team was amazing and the OR staff was great. When I got on The North unit after my surgery i remained on the unit for 3 hours before I was seen by a nurse. Which she stated she didn’t know I had arrived. I was in pain, drowsy from anesthesia and needed relief. Eventually a nurse named Linda made up for the entire team, she was amazing and took care of me..but the next day the poor care continued. All day I was not attended too, I had to reach out I did have a caring PCA who helped some with the experience, I have limited mobility due to incisions and sutures and I had to constantly ask for soap, towels and sanitary napkins. Call light rang for 30 minutes I understand the medical field is stressful and it can be quite busy. However Your patient statement is that you put patients first and are caring. I found that to not be true. One suggestion is take back the nurses you have striking and build your reputation back to a higher standard. Now every nurse, CNA, PCA is not bad I am just sharing the experience I had.
