I came in with what I thought was a stomach blockage, turned out I have a 18cm cyst that needs to be surgically removed. They took me back immediately when I got there, only asked necessary questions. Every individual who I interacted with was phenomenal. I avoid going to the hospital because of the way I have been treated in the past. I am only 21 and people often overlook my ulcerative colitis and blame it on my being a young woman, or me weight, anxiety, etc. I have never felt so heard. All of my needs were met. I visited the hospital on 10/2/2024. I forget the doctors name that was treating me. He was phenomenal. It took the team 12 times before they got my iv in, (not their fault I have deep veins and was dehydrated from vomiting) and they made me feel safe and let me know exactly what was happening. They did not give up despite my annoying veins. The nurses were great, Ct person was great, and the woman who did my ultrasound was so kind. I will recommend this hospital to anyone I know. Thank you so much to the staff for all that they did.

Husband went to Cape Cod Healthcare Emergancy walk in clinic after experiencing severe hives. Took 2 Benedryl at home and had only just walked in when he became lightheaded and fell down. Is on plavix due to carotid artery surgery a week earlier and head was full of blood after scraping it on rug. They gave wonderful care , administered epipen and called ambulance to take him to ER.
All there were excellent, especially Dr Adler. He ordered many , many tests and finally contacted Surgeon and Primary care dr and all agreed he could be release with steroids plus, plus..Severe allergic reaction to ? We think we figured it out
In at 12:00 and home by 5:30 on a Sat. He is doing fine but the bloody mess on his head will take a while to heal. All excellent care. Could not ask for more. Hospital and Cape Cod Healthcare have come a long way since 20 yrs ago

I've unfortunately visited this emergency room several times in the past year due to severe pain from a complicated illness. Most visits were a waste of time. The staff rarely listens to you, nor asks sufficient questions. One particular night during the holidays, I was sent there by ambulance but treated quite poorly. I've been treated as if I were a drug seeker, even though I had not asked for painkillers. They administered Tylenol. When I asked for a second dose after 4+ hours, I was denied, even though I was in pain. The staff was militant. They kept me in the ER for over 24 hours, against my will, doing all kinds of tests instead of asking questions. I was finally released by some kind doctors & nurses, but I swore I would never go back. I found it necessary to visit twice after that. I was still ignored & turned away again, saying they could not diagnose my illness & they could not treat me. It happened again a couple of days ago when I was experiencing severe hip pain, acute, neurological pain & in distress. An emergency room nurse received me with no tolerance and caused me more upset. She was disagreeable & grabbed my arm in an aggressive manner, ordering me to keep quiet because I was crying. It took hours before I was given any pain relief. No coaching whatsoever about how to keep my pain at bay. I was subjected to waiting over 2 hours, having to take x-rays, cognitive tests, being refused any water & more nonsense. Most of this staff is illl-equipped for this kind of emergency. Some nurses, all techs, & some Drs are good, however,
I suggest, that if you have severe pain & you aren't bleeding profusely, have a broken bone, or in the midst of a heart attack, find another medical facility where you'll be treated properly. That is not to say the main part of Falmouth Hospital is not a good place. I highly recommend the services outside of their emergency room. I have been treated excellent in every way from the Front Desk, the Seifer Center, Clark Cancer Center, Pulmonary, Imaging & in Physical Therapy.

Hi, I am a severe cardiac patient. I have had paramedics push IV medicine to get me to Falmouth Hospital. The Emergency care was excellent. and so far I have survived 10 cardiac arrests. Due to the challenging work of my cardiologist and Falmouth Hospital and Cape Cod Hospital. Thanks for being there for me!

My nurse, Taylor, is a living breathing Florence Nightingale.
Her care and concern and doing everything humanly possible to make me comfortable allowed me to go
without needing more pain meds. My heart rate and breathing turned back to normal and and I can't thank her enough. My faith in humanity has been restored. Thankyou Taylor.
And Joel is a charming person who cares too. And Dr. Mike and Kasie were great too.

Seen in Falmouth Hospital E.R. for chest pain, that was radiating into my neck *& arm on left side. They ran some imaging & bloodwork & only one "marker" came back they believed questionable. Apparently, the E.R. consulted with the Cardiologist on duty & was told there was nothing, it was, "probably" a muscle spasm. I had already told the doctor, I started out thinking that, and applied heat & took muscle relaxant & voltaren gel & motrin and that did not work & only became concerned when it radiated into my neck *& arm. Apparently, the doctor according to the Cape Cardiologist receptionist I spoke with, only reviewed the test results & saw nothing & that my reported symptoms for being there, had not been conveyed. I was sent home from the Falmouth Emergency room & told to take mortrin & tylenol and a shot of whiskey to relax with *(even though I already told him I don't drink). I let the advice roll, because he told me that they were referring me to a cardiologist *(which he didn't) & that I would be able to be seen in person, by a cardiologist in reasonable time, to get additional imaging & testing started, to find out what is going on- but- since he DIDN'T make that referral- I CAN'T GET AN APPOINTMENT FOR MORE THAN 3 WEEKS from today, to be seen for ACTIVE chest pain. After making appointment with my primary care, in his review of tests & my symptoms, he believes I have Pleurisy *(of the king)- which Falmouth Hospital E.R. never came up with, in their desire to hustle me out of the E.R. I.have appt with Pulmonologist to verify.
Also, in reviewing my intake notes, they said they gave me an oxygen - NEVER HAPPENED & stated they administered something through my i.v. (if they did, they did so without informing me of what I was being given & why). Review your BILL & NOTES- make sure you got what you or your insurance is paying for. I think they tried to make it look like they did nore,, but reality is different.
I am FURIOUS to no end right now. For over a year, I had been reporting upper right quadrant abdominal pain & had gone to the E.R. at Falmouth Hospital, For them to tell me it's nothing, and maybe I should try adding fiber go my diet, etc. Well, fast forward that year & now come to find out that pain was caused by my liver. I have NAFLD & going in for a scan of my liver this week to run tests to see how extensive the damage is. Either Falmouth Hospital or Cape Cod Health Care System are failing the patient, I would like to know which. But, at this rate, I may not live long enough to find out! I just ask that if you can't make a correct diagnosis, give me a list of possibilities & send me home with proper care procedures for each. The Falmouth Hospital E.R. is a gorgeous, new facility, but highly flawed. There is no separate waiting area for those who are sick with cold s, flus, Covid, etc. & those who are healthy, except for broken bones, heart & breathing malfunctions & non-illness related sickness. Also, once in the room-I was completely on my own, for hours- except to convert test results. There was nothing done to manage my pain, except for the aspirn I was given when I arrived. I was in considerable pain, in every movement or breath I took & I was very patient with all of this. I had to disconnect myself from the moniters. No one even noticed I left my bed, lol- I came back. Next time, I am making the trip to a different hospital- Cape Cod. But, they don't get iti am only 61 & I have a life & want to know when I go to the hospital, that they have done their best to stabilze, identify, treat the issue I came in with in anACCURATE, timely, efficient manner. Which I felt like I got none of the above.

Mediocre experience, must say the PA who saw our daughter and two of the nurses were good, but other than that, beyond sub-par. Went in with my young daughter who fell and had a potential head injury. Man sitting at the desk at time of arrival, less than friendly. Typically it’s better to have people with empathy and compassion in these patient-facing positions to avoid uncomfortable issues such as this. Woman attempting the C/T scan, was again, less than friendly and treated us as more of an inconvenience than parents searching for help. Repeatedly told us that the scan was “not going to work” whilst putting forth minimal effort. After being brought back to the C/T room with a nurse accompanying, magically so, the images were able to be captured. As someone who works in healthcare, I understand the difficulty to perform particular testings and services when it comes to young children and even geriatrics but that isn’t a free pass to not “try”. Overall disappointed with the lack of kindness from most of the staff. People working in an “Emergency Room” should be more adept with emotion. Born and raised on Cape Cod and haven’t been this disappointed by medical facilities ever. It may be time for either re-training or re-consideration of career for those few employees that we came in contact with who seemed less than thrilled to be there.

One night in May I couldn’t breathe well enough to trust laying down or relaxing. My wife took me to the Emergency Room. I received immediate attention to my issues. I’m fact, after they completed their evaluations and first round of treatments I was alert enough to notice the cleanliness and modern, large, capable faculty I was at. I ended up requiring a one night stay over at the hospital. I would be proud to recommend Falmouth hospital to my dearest friends, knowing they would receive the excellent care I received.
